About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 4

This two-bedroom Mendocino getaway has a lovely, white-washed wood interior, with lots of blind-covered windows on both floors for a light - adding a bright feel to this nicely updated beach bungalow! When you stay here, you'll enjoy comforts like WiFi, ocean views, multiple decks, and a cozy gas stove for ambiance on those chilly Northern California evenings. And this home is dog friendly, so you can bring along two of your furry friends!

With a great location just north of the quaint downtown area of Mendocino, you're just a short drive away from award-winning restaurants, breweries, galleries, and one-of-a-kind shops. From here, you're also close to hiking at Russian Gulch State Park and the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse. But if you don't feel like venturing too far away, walk along the ocean bluff for stunning views, or just enjoy the scene from one of your two ocean-facing back decks.

The living room furniture is rattan with lots of comfy cushions, and the spacious, fully-equipped kitchen has an informal round dining table with chairs and a banquette/window seat that's open to the living room. The enclosed, wind protected, roofless deck has table and chairs, with slider access from the living room and bedroom. There is a thermostat controlled gas-log stove for heat throughout and each bedroom has baseboard heat as needed.

On the main level, you'll find a lovely queen bedroom suite with a master bedroom with a king bed, as well as a full bath upstairs. Upstairs is a complete second living room with a wet bar and additional TV. An iMac and printer are upstairs for guest use, although the house has WIFI, and if you get your clothes dirty while out exploring, there's even a washer and dryer at this Mendocino retreat.

Perfect for a getaway for up to four friends, or even as a romantic escape for two, this charming Mendocino vacation rental is sure to delight everyone who plans a stay here. After exploring Mendocino, including the Headlands State Park and the charming downtown area, make the drive 15 minutes north to Fort Bragg, making sure to plan a stop at the Pacific Star Winery along the way. As the largest town in the region, Fort Bragg offers even more restaurant and shopping choices.

Escape to the coastal village of Mendocino for a relaxing getaway near giant redwoods, popular eateries, and beautiful, Pacific Ocean views. This Beach House offers all the comforts of home right near the stunning Northern California coastline.

About Vacasa, CA - Northern California Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Perfect home base for exploring the Mendocino coast

 • 5 of 5

This was a great home base for hitting all our favorite spots along the coast. Easy walk to the bluffs and to Point Cabrillo. The house -- particularly the kitchen -- was well stocked. Highly recommended for a family or for two couples.

Beat the heat!

 • 5 of 5

Visited for a week with my husband and dog. This house was great with two different living spaces and beautiful views! The deer were constant entertainment. Loved the trails for walking the dog and the weather was fantastic and chilly!
