Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
We spent a long weekend there and attended a class at the Mendocino arts center. It was a perfect location, not too close and not too far. Loved the ocean sounds and the view. Would love to go back and spend more time at the house to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Lovely retreat. Close to everything but not too close. Very quiet and relaxing.
Ledford House Restaurant was fabulous!
The house was incredible, the location, the views and the house itself. It is decorated in an eclectic style and not in the generic blaw style of a lot of vacation rentals. It is flattering that the owner trusted us with all the wonderful furnishings. We felt totally comfortable and it was very difficult to leave. We will be back!
While you are here, you have to go to the Elk store, park across the street and walk down to the most beautiful beach in the world. Dogs off leash is fine! Do not expect your phone to work at the most charming get away, but you can go online and you have satellite tv after you figure it all out. reboot your computer to connect to wifi Wild turkeys will greet you so watch the dogs! .
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate his 40th birthday. We stayed in the area at a different rental property earlier this year and loved it so much we wanted to come back, but the first property was booked for the period we needed. Safe At Anchor made an excellent second choice. Some of the things we loved most about our stay: the gorgeous view through the huge picture window in the living room, especially the last couple of days when the sun decided to show itself; the wonderful hot tub, which we relaxed in morning and evening each day; the private, secluded location; and the very comfortable bed (we slept like babies every night). We wished that the property was a little closer to the ocean so that we could've heard the ocean waves (it's difficult to tell from the pictures and property, but the property is on the east side of Highway 1, so most of what we heard was the sound of cars passing). I was also surprised that the larger and lighter of the two bedrooms (along with the half bath) was actually on a lower level and separated from the main part of the property. The stairs to get to it are outside as the door to it is off of the deck. My boyfriend thought it smelled a bit moldy and noticed they had a dehumidifier running. We didn't spend much time in there. Overall, we found the house to be well-maintained, comfortable, charming, rustic and very clean. Thank you for such a nice and relaxing long weekend.
