Cozy Palms is the perfect name for this comfortable and inviting oceanfront home on the Isle of Palms! This traditional beach home will bring back fond memories of those bygone family retreats by the sea. With 5 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths, it will accommodate up to 12 of your family members and friends. The first floor consists of an open great room with kitchen, living room and dining room. The ocean view living room has comfortable seating in front of the gas fireplace. The entertainment center with 27 flat panel TV/Blu Ray/Stereo system/CD and iPod dock, is ideal for all ages and preferences. Wireless internet and cable TV are included in the house. The wall to wall, glass sliding doors lead out to the large screened porch which contributes additional living space. It is furnished with a table and plenty of seating. The dining room table seats 8 and there is a breakfast table in the sitting area that will seat an additional 4. The 4 counter island stools in the kitchen are perfect for serving the kid's snacks! The open kitchen with plenty of countertop space makes meal preparation a breeze! There is a half bath located off the living room and a laundry room with full size washer/dryer, utility sink and full storage freezer (no more running out of ice!) The gas BBQ grill is conveniently located on the front porch right outside the kitchen and dining room area. A beach shower is also provided for convenience!

The Master Bedroom is located off of the main living area and consists of a King bed, 19 TV and ocean view. You will enjoy private access to the sundeck. The private master bath offers a tub/shower and double sink vanity. The second floor features 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The first bedroom with an ocean view has a King bed and 27 flat panel TV. The second ocean view bedroom has a Queen bed and 27 flat panel TV. A third bedroom has a Queen bed with 1 set of Bunk Beds plus a TV. And the last bedroom has 2 Twin beds and 1 set of Bunk beds plus a 27 flat panel TV. Both upstairs bathrooms include a tub/shower and are located off the main hallway for access by all the bedrooms on this floor. The large, grassy backyard is the perfect spot for the kids to play a game of Frisbee or a friendly game of touch football! A stroll down the private boardwalk leads you to the beautiful Isle of Palms sandy beach and sparkling Atlantic Ocean! This house also is also located about 1 block away from the Isle of Palms Recreation center, located at 28th Ave on Cameron Blvd, which boasts wonderful sports facilities such as tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, dog park, playground, etc.!

Great house but ...

This is a great, old-style beach house in a wonderful location. It's comfortable and spacious. It sleeps a lot of people. However, deferred maintenance has become a problem. The walkway to the beach is deteriorated to the point that boards flip up when you walk on them, which you should never attempt with bare feet due to all of the exposed and sticking-up nails, ditto for the stairs and decks. Almost all of the porch screens have holes in them. The internet didn't work the entire time we were there. We tried through the rental company who told us to call Comcast who think there needs to be a new router. Oh - there are exactly 11 forks in total. If this was my house (hint, hint) I would invest a bit in it. It doesn't need to be another beach mansion ... it's a great house. But address the walkways, screens, internet, worn-out kitchen supplies, purchase some silverware, replace the tattered curtains, maybe renovate a bathroom or two, etc., and we would happily rent it again.

Multi-generaltional holiday week

I chose this property because: 1) Dog-friendly! , 2) Oceanfront; 3) Suitable floor plan for 3 generations. The master was on the main level and suitable for my elderly, somewhat mobility impaired parents (no wheelchair access requirements). I'm not sure about young children at the house; for some reason the front and back stairs were always wet and slick which deterred my father from leaving the house. A very large enclosed porch was enjoyable for all. The beach is lovely and wide and an easy walk from the house. 4 large bedrooms upstairs with 2 hall bathrooms worked well for me and my 3 adult children plus their "others". There were some structural repairs that should be addressed and I mentioned those to the agent at checkout. I cooked almost all meals at the house but would have appreciated some newer (not bent, scratched or just lacking) basic pots and pans and would have been great..but the kitchen table was large and accommodated all. We went into Charleston many times and it's an easy drive. Overall the house was comfortable and casual and everyone had space and the dogs had a great time!

Large Asheville Family

We just returned from a very nice stay at Cozy Palms and enjoyed a very complete kitchen, spacious gathering area, wonderful furniture~from beds to couches to screened in porch furniture. We would certainly stay here again in the future although the house is on the market to be sold. Directly on the beach with an easy walk from house to water. Other than some paint and decking/walkway repair, the house is comfortable, clean and depicted well in the photos. Realtor personnel were also easy to work with and reach, even over a holiday weekend. Thanks Carol and Mike. CTH
