This property is located on 17 beautiful wooded acres next to Douglas Lake. It is owned by Mountain Lake Resort, which has other buildings including a huge log cabin lodge with 8 bedrooms that sleeps up to 64, a hotel with 16 rooms that sleeps up to 64, and a large bunkhouse with 1 large room that sleeps up to 18. These venues are perfect for church groups & retreats, family reunions, anniversaries, birthday parties, etc.
This chalet is away from the hustle and bustle of town, away from other buildings on the property, and it is less than 300 yards from the lake. It is a great place to go for walks, fish, swim, or bird watch. The chalet has two levels. The lower level (1st floor) has a large front porch where you can relax, sit and read a book, or just enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. Inside there is central heat and air, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a full kitchen. This place can accommodate 2 people in each bedroom and 1 person could sleep on the sofa (not a pull-out) the other sofa is a loveseat so 5 comfortably. This is a Smoke-free/ alcohol- free facility.
Is a cozy cabin in the woods witha wonderful rested feel to it. Is away from the turisty part of town but that alone makes much more relaxing i had nothing but a wonderful time and would surely recommend it. The only thing is the road to the cabin is a but steep and uneven so i recomend a 4wheeler for ur safety!!!!
Our overall stay was perfect, this place met all of our needs during a 1 week stay in TN. Betty was very accommodating and even had a stroller for us to borrow. It is a beautiful location, with a short walk to the Douglas lake. We hope to come again to visit in the summer. Thank you.
I (we) fully recommend this chalet. It is located very near the center of Pigeon Forge and yet, it is far enough away to enjoy quietness. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. I have included my letter to Betty and Tom Munson, so you can see my true feelings about our stay:
Thank you once again for allowing us to stay in your chalet. It was a true blessing. We needed the time to rest, relax and for restoration. A lot of people don't understand that missionaries and other full-time Christian workers need a time to rethink, regroup and re-fire in order to continue faithfully in the "fight of faith'"...your place provided that time for us. We would like very much in the future to rent it again.
We will continue to pray for you and Bro. Tom as you bless ours through your testimonies and the work of the ministry. Pray your family will have a wonderful Christ centered Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We had a fantastic time at the chalet! Only a short walk to the lake which was INCREDIBLE! The chalet is secluded and private - exactly what we were looking for, clean and had nice wooded views from the back porches! Thank you to Betty for a great booking experience! We WILL be back!
Quite cleans and secluded. Exactly what we were looking for. Only problem we had is the master bedroom matters felt like laying on plywood. Had to sleep in the other bed.
The home was clean. The pictures on the wed page do not do it justice. Although they are nce. It is updated inside. Clean towels and sheets. Expense has not been spared. It is a real retreat in the mountains . Surrounded by woods. But you feel safe. There is a security watch. The porch is nice to set on . To us it was a super place. My 2 sisters and husbands, and myself. The owners are really super nice and helpful. They have a water plant near by. That sells allover the world. I'm sure they must sell their water too. Its packed with nutrients.
