About Kenny & Carole

We were both born and raised in New Orleans, Carole on the East bank of the river and Kenny on the West bank. We currently live in a flood prone area outside of New Orleans East that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. We purchased the Townhouse as a safety net in the event of another flood. The Townhouse has never flooded and could become our permanent residence at any time. We furnished the townhouse with this in mind and included all essentials.

Great home away from home and fantastic owners!

Owners there to greet us upon arrival. Went over a few details and even told us some of the best local spots for family fun and dining. The night before we were scheduled to leave, hurricane Nate was scheduled to hit. Ken text me to let me know he would refund the final night if we felt we needed to leave, or give us a free night if we chose to stay, so that we could make up for anything we may have missed. Even though he was also going to possibly be impacted by the storm, he was looking out for us. We had 5 adults and 2 young children and we had all the room we needed. Towels, cleaning supplies, cookware, and most anything else you could think of was provided. They go out of their way to truly make it a home away from home. We can't say enough about the home or the owners. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit. Home is in a perfect location. Close enough to all the attractions of New Orleans, but far enough away to be very peaceful. Thanks again for being such gracious hosts!!!

Amazing

First time to NOLA and we really enjoyed our trip. The La Nata’s could not have shown us any more southern hospitality than they did. The house was nicer than we hoped. Well stocked, easy access to downtown, quiet and safe neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Beyond my expectations!!!

Southern hospitality at its finest...I went to new orleans for a death in my family and wanted a comfortable place to stay with my brothers and my 90 year old mom and i could not have chose a better place to stay.Everything was just perfect and great great location to everything , from great restaurants,most importantly close to acme oyster bar and rstaurant....but if want just a wonderful place with all the amenities and more....

Charming and Convenient

Our family stayed in this lovely townhouse during Thanksgiving, 2016. It is a clean, lovely , and comfortable home to return to after a day of sight seeing in busy New Orleans. The house has everything you could possibly want, and more! Even a banana tree in the backyard!

We selected the townhouse for its short drive to the Southern Yacht club, but it really isnt far from anything! Walking along the lakefront our first day was beautiful! And it only got better from there. Highly recommend this townhouse for families who want to enjoy New Orleans, but not be in the middle of all the crowds.

The owners were very available to answer questions, and have left a full library of reference material to help with getting around,and enjoying it all. Ken and Carol have seemed to think of every detail when they equipped this home for travelers.

Beautiful Townhouse in good location.

Our first visit to New Orleans and we found this little gem! From the outside this home looks small but it is very deep and very spacious inside.

Also very nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable as were the beds.

The owners were very helpful and have thought of everything to make your stay more pleasurable. Even the small touches were appreciated.

Being English, we love our "cuppa" and the owners even provided a Kettle and some English Breakfast tea for us.

We stayed for 10 days and loved it, would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

The neighbourhood was very quiet and we went to the pool on three occasions and didnt see another person in the water.

No one disturbed us at all.

It was in a very good location as you can catch a bus from the bottom of the road to the street car stop which then takes you all the way into New Orleans for a meagre $1.25 or even 40c if you are a senior.

There are several restaurants within walking distance and if you like local food that is very useful as you have no need to drive out to eat.

There is also a large supermarket and a few other shops within walking distance.

Our Favourite restaurant in this area was The Cheesecake Factory and the food and service was very good in there.

Our least favourite was Fury's but that was mainly because it served only local foods that we are not used to and while we were eating, they brought all the trash bins out through the restaurant for collection the next morning.

We went to Slidell a couple of times and love Crackerbarrel for breakfast and Ruby Tuesdays for evening meal.

The whole area was very interesting, we did a trip on the Natchez Steamboat for a brunch cruise and the food was delicious.

We also visited the Gulf coast and liked a place called Ocean Springs, just past Biloxi. We walked all around the French Quarter, the French Market area and The Garden district. The only place we didnt like was Bourbon Street and the smell was so bad.

All in all, we cannot fault this house or the area and would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you Kenny and Carole for letting us stay in your home. If we ever come back to that area we would not hesitate to contact you.
