I am the owner, and it is my pleasure to run a business that creates vacation experiences for our guest! We own two additional units both of which are extremely close to this one in the building and another at Azure and Destin West. Our properties have over 100 reviews on VRBO averaging 4.5+ stars amongst these properties.

It is my goal to provide an excellent vacation experience for our guest, and we do our best to keep our units unique and fully stocked with items you would expect to have in your own home. This three-bedroom unit is located just high enough for those wishing to watch the little ones from the balcony at the splash pool. Three bedroom units are unique at Waterscape as the kitchen is nearly three times the size of our two-bedroom unit, the balcony is the largest in the building at 10 feet deep, and the bunk alcove allows four private sleeping areas! All of this provides multiple families more comfort.

As the owner, I am accessible before, during, and after your stay. Finally, our management company which is located next door can handle immediate needs or emergencies. This is a convenience most VRBO owners don’t provide.

This unit is extremely convenient to your car, the splash pool, three Weber gas grills, and the quieter (seasonally heated) pool.


Generally, units closer to the sand will cost more to rent, and will be further from parking. Please keep in mind the entire complex is located on the beach and every unit is a short walk to the ocean!

Waterscape is shaped like a U, this means only 12 units are directly parallel to the ocean without an angled view or distance of about 80-100 yards to the sand. The left side of the U is the A building, the bottom is the C building, and the right side is the B building. All of what makes Waterscape the best resort for kids in the Destin area are the pools that lie in the middle of the U.

Our A225 unit is located one unit from entrance to the interior hallway in the A building. Most units do not have access via an interior climate controlled hallway. This entrance is the closest location in the A building to the COVERED parking garage and back entrance to the splash pool. This means you can access pools, grills, and parking without getting on an elevator in less than 30 seconds. Our C300 and C306 units are located one level up, or effectively second floor as the pool is on the second level. You can park 25 feet from the front door of either unit. Access to the pools and our A225 unit from these two units is also extremely convenient. One can go down the elevator to the second level or take one flight of stairs.

If you want to see the pools and resort grounds, you should stay in the C building, or in even numbered units in the A or B building. If you want things quieter, the odd numbered units in A or B face the outside of the property. Nearly all the odd numbered units in A & B will have a narrow view or no view of the ocean between the buildings. The new hotel next to the A building is scheduled to be completed spring 2017.


My wife and I had young kids under the age of eight when we purchased our Waterscape units. We found over the years most our time was spent around the splash pool with the slide and the grills for cooking. We also found that we seem to bring half of our house with us on vacation. Being extremely close to the car and the splash pool area is a no brainer for convenience.


Most of these units had one of a handful of furniture packages. The sofas, TV’s, bed frames, and carpet are the issue. We have had to replace all these items as they were either broken, disgusting, or too small in the case of TV’s.


During the busy season guest, must arrive at 7:00 AM to even consider getting on the front row, because of the placement of the chairs. I find I can get closer to the beach without worrying with how early my day starts using my own chairs. Therefore, we provide our guest with four chairs and two umbrellas during their visit.

What makes this condo unique

My favorite aspect of Waterscape is the resort style pool area, and convenience of never needing to get in the car after the first visit to the grocery store. Our unit is one of the largest on the beach and will sleep 11 comfortably in beds.

Perfect for families: great location, nice amenities, quick walk to beach, and nice condo

We stayed here with two other families and our young children. We thought the Waterscape complex as a whole was excellent and also really liked this unit. The unit is close to the parking lot which is nice for hauling stuff in and also has a view of the pool area. Everything in the condo was well-kept and it is nicely furnished. The beds are comfortable and there were plenty of dishes and cookware. Having three bathrooms was nice. The gear closet in the condo had four or five beach chairs, an umbrella, and other beach toys. It was really nice to have all of that stuff since we flew there and couldn't pack it.

The complex is perfect for kids. There are multiple pools and just beyond the pools is the beach access. We were there in March so most of the pools were on the cool side, however there is one pool that is heated and we spent some time in there. We saw other older kids playing in the unheated pools so they must not have been too cold. We spent most of our days on the beach but when we did go to the pool we stayed in the heated one.

We grilled out several times at one of the many grills in the pool area. There is basic fitness equipment in the fitness room which overlooks the pool as well.

This complex is a short drive to Destin. There is also a grocery store about a mile away. We thought the location was excellent.

We all thought the unit itself and the complex were fantastic and perfect for families with young children. We hope to stay here again sometime.

Enjoyed a week at Thanksgiving

Beautiful condo, and great facility. Was concerned it would be too cold in late November but it was BEAUTIFUL the whole week. Rick was very responsive to our requests. The condo is very close to the pools, a bit of a walk to the beach considering it was a "on the beach" unit, but it was not a big deal. Loved how close the parking was however to the condo. All in all a great stay and would come back again.

Resort is a wonderful family getaway!

Overall a good experience. Rick was easy to contact and helpful. The accommodations were a great size for our family, we were with my parents & sister totalling 8 of us and had plenty of space. The only concern we would have for the future renters would be to be prepared to clean some what upon arrival. When we arrived as we were putting items away in the fridge some ice/water spilt on the floor from our cooler, as I proceeded to wipe it up with paper towel the paper towel turned absolutely black. We all noticed the floors were still gritty & our feet were black with in minutes of walking around. In addition the ceiling fans were caked with dust - we couldn't turn them on until we cleaned them. My mother proceeded to wash the floors and ceiling fans on the second day we were there and for the balance of the time our feet weren't black after walking around. We mentioned our concerns to Legacy & they insisted the floors had been cleaned prior to our arrival, but that maybe they weren't changing the water frequently enough. Not sure what is going on, but in my experience if a floor is properly cleaned paper towel shouldn't turn black wiping something up on the very first night you arrive. Other than the cleaning crew, the resort and unit were lovely.

Great Family Condo!

We have nothing but good to say about the unit C300. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Being able to use the owners closet with chairs/carts/toys etc was a huge plus. The only downfall of the property is having to wear wrist bands to the pool area and these are hospital type wrist bands that do not come off unless they are cut. This is no fault of the owners and does not reflect how great the condo is. You do get used to the bands after the first day or so. The pool and grounds are well maintained and are super kid friendly! We would definitely rent this unit again!
