Comfy cozy hideaway - perfect for a couple with a small dog - hosts are wonderful and helpful

  • 5 of 5

It's a 1-room studio with a nice bathroom, VERY comfy bed, everything you need in the kitchen, comfy leather recliners for watching sunsets and tv (comes with Netflix). Nice grassy fenced backyard that our little 15 lb dog loved. The stove and frig are small -- we heated up stew and were glad we didn't try to cook a turkey (it was Thanksgiving). The dining table has to be set up ... we were happy using the chest at the foot of the bed in front of the recliners for dinner and card playing. It was a rainy weekend so not much view but you are right on the Sound and we imagine the views could be awesome. Very private and quiet though it adjoins another unit. The only thing that would've made our weekend more cozy would've been a fireplace. Jim, the host, was very helpful and kind. A great find!!

Clean and quiet cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the couple of nights in the area. The cottage is lovely and well-maintained. It was easy to get to, while also away from the main road.

Quiet hideaway with a beautiful view!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I rented this cottage for five nights in September. We knew it was small (think large master bedroom with a small wall of kitchen and separate bath), but everything is so well organized and laid out that we hardly noticed. The large windows facing the straight also make it seem larger. We loved sitting in the easy chairs and watching the ships go by. We used it as a home base and a place to relax after exploring the Olympic Rain Forest as well as Sequim and Port Townsend. The neighborhood is very quiet and the comfortable bed added to our enjoying a good night's sleep. My only suggestion is you might want to bring your own large fry pan, (unless you don't mind peeling Teflon). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and getting better acquainted with the area.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are sorry that you had a problem with one of our pans. It must have been defective as it was not very old. I wish you had called us as we would have been happy to bring you a new one. We went out today and purchased a new set. Hope you can stay with us again in the future. Thank you. Jim and Pam

The perfect place for a Port Angeles stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed 6 nights using the Cottage as our base for exploring several within-easy-drive Olympic National Park locations. The bed's topping gave us a restful night's sleep. The quiet electric wall heater took the chill out quickly each morning. Evenings, we delighted in the living room full recliner-rocker chairs positioned to look out on the Straight of Juan de Fuca. Afternoons, the cushioned porch chairs were a nice resting spot to watch passing ships. The neighborhood was very quiet, even when other renters occupied the connected house that is separated by a privacy fence. The kitchen is fully equipped but our preference was to used Tripadvisor restaurant recommendations for seafood lunches and suppers. We loved the homemade cookies that greeted our arrival! The bathroom was also fully equipped and we never ran out of hot water while showering. TV include Netflix and the internet got out daily movies uploaded to Facebook in a jiffy. If you are staying during the summer, check out the nearby Olympic Cellar Winery's summer Saturday shows. We took in a sold-out supper show for $13 each. Great entertainment and friendly people to socialize with!

Great cozy place very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This was a cozy place with great water views and the best sunsets in town. It was perfect for visiting Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend and Olympic Park. The weather was wonderful for our stay and the entire area is just beautiful. Even though the studio is smaller it was plenty for two of us and a BIG old German Shepherd. We had an eagle in the tree outside for several days and quails with baby right outside. We had a great time on our visit and hated to leave.
