About Debbie Godfrey

I was born and raised on Prince Edward Island. I presently live in Ontario but visit P.E.I. every summer and stay in a third cottage we own in Seawood Estates. My husband Glenn stays on the island for the summer and manages our two rental cottages while I travel back and forth to work. All of my family live on P.E.I. and when you visit this beautiful island you will understand why they never wanted to leave! We personally take care of the property ourselves and are available for any of your needs during your stay.

Debbie Godfrey purchased this house in 2011

Why Debbie Godfrey chose Seawood Estates

I bought this cottage because of it's tranquil waterfront location. The peninsula of Seawood estates is shaped like a horse shoe and projects about one mile into New London Bay. Convenient footpaths provide easy access to the waterfront and two miles of shoreline around the peninsula. The sunsets in this area are spectacular and the view of the sand dunes of the National park to the North is breathtaking. I had to own a little piece of this paradise!

What makes this house unique

I fell in love with this home because of the peace I felt sitting on one of it's three decks. It is next to a meadow with trees and when I take in the view of that tranquil lot and the water of the Hope River from all of the living spaces within the home, I was sold! We renovated the home in 2012 and added new windows to capture that view.

I'd stay here all summer if I could...

  • 5 of 5

Everything was wonderful. The house was located in a great area. The house itself was beautiful and spacious, with room for all kinds of activities for kids and adults alike. Debbie and Glenn were extremely helpful (and quick) with regards to ideas and help with activities and with regards to any house related issues. Walking along the water behind the house each day was one of the things we will miss the most. Drinking coffee on the deck in the cool morning and watching the stars from that same deck on a clear night were things that I did not expect to mean so much, but they were great endcaps to days filled with beaches and seafood dinners. The fire pit and grill were great features that were worth taking advantage of. Also, I recommend looking through the numerous brochures and fliers, provided on a table near the couches, to find things to do around the island. We found fliers for farmer's markets, walking trails, and Cielidhs (which were a hard sell for my brother, but everyone ended up enjoying). There wasn't a negative that I could identify, we will definitely stay here again on future trips. One tip, if you go to the Blue Mussel Café you may have to wait awhile, everyone else in the island is more than likely already there waiting for a table, but it is worth the wait.

Beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

The owners were great to deal with. I would reccomend this cottage to everyone. Although we had a busy wedding weekend we still managed to take in the beautiful scenery the property has to offer. We are thinking about re-renting again next year.

Fabulous family holiday

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect home for our family holiday. We were 3 families...ourselves , our son's family of 4 and our daughter's family of 5. The design is perfect for intergeneration holidays. It is very well appointed and Glenn and Debbie were so easy to deal with. Glenn is nearby and is very attentive for any concerns . We would highly recommend this property. We loved its' privacy and location.
