Completely updated downtown apartment that is all about the location! If you want to be in the heart of the Town of Jackson, it doesn’t get better than this. Just one block off of Town Square, walk to shopping, bars, restaurants, galleries, theaters, and everything else downtown Jackson has to offer.

The apartment is a third-floor walkup in a mixed-use residential and office building, with two reserved (off-street) parking spots. There are two bedrooms (both brand new Queen beds) to sleep four people, sharing one recently updated bathroom. You can also rent the apartment next door (same layout) to sleep 8 people.

Wifi and Cable TV is provided. Please know that there is no elevator, and no washer/dryer or dishwasher.

The apartment is five blocks to Snow King Resort and access to the public START bus is just two blocks away. The START bus offers convenient service throughout town (free) and to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ($3). The Jackson Hole Airport is 15 minutes away.

The owners work in the building and live nearby, and are happy to answer any and all questions about your stay in Jackson Hole. We look forward to welcoming you and hope that you enjoy your visit!

Our family has lived in Jackson Hole since 2000 and love calling this special place home. Neither of us ever thought we'd stay here long term, so we always warn visitors that they might be caught by the Jackson-bug as well!

Why Andy and Carolyn Ripps chose Jackson Hole Area

I've lived in Jackson Hole since 2000 and we have owned this building since 2007, renting out the commercial spaces to my Mortgage Brokerage company, a Law Office, a Spa/Hair Salon, along with four residential units. The building is unique - there's nothing else like it downtown - and the location is unparalleled.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in the lodging-overlay, so it is legally rentable to short-term guests (which is unusual in Jackson). The building has received approval from the Town, meeting current fire safety protocols, and is registered to accept short-term renters (which is also why we charge the lodging tax). License #6561-16.

Perfect Location with all the amenities

My wife and I stayed in this unit in the past week. It was clean, comfortable, and you can't beat the location. We cooked a few meals during our stay and all pots, pans, and utensils you need are available. Check in/out was quick and easy. Andy and Carolyn were very helpful and gave us a great recommendation for our last day hike in the Tetons. Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great location, perfect layout, can't wait to go back!

Starting at booking, working with Carolyn and Andy was so easy! They immediately made us feel welcome and offered advice on local places to visit. We traveled with our 2.5 year old and there are several parks near by, great restaurants within walking distance (under 3 minute walk) and hiking trails just a short drive away.

Plenty of pots and pans for cooking! Be sure to check out the pearl street market for a great selection of meat, fish and prepared food.

Property was convienent to Jackson.

The apartment was well equipped and very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The only down side was no a.c. Fans were provided but sometimes outside noise was a bother. Owners worked hard to fix it. Furnishings were comfortable and amenities were were provided. Parking was never an issue . We would stay there again if we are in Jackson.

Could be five stars with some easy fixes

Two couples for four nights. Here are the pros and cons:


Great Location

Easy Parking



There were only four towels in the unit. With hiking, fishing, etc. this was not enough for 4 people over five days.

The towels and sheets all smelled like they had been left in the washer for a couple of days. I can tolerate a little funk but these were next level. Everything had to be rewashed (but no washer/dryer in unit)

No extra pillows or bedding. The beds each had two small pillows.

Less than one roll of toilet paper in the unit. We had to go buy our own.

No paper towels. Again, had to go buy which isn't a big deal but should be unnecessary.

Minimal kitchen amenities.

"sitting" chairs in the living room are horribly uncomfortable and built for a DMV waiting room, not an apartment where people want to sit and relax.

Hallway and stairs need to be either cleaned or re-carpeted (this unit is up three flights). There are some interesting odors as you ascend to the unit.

EXTREMELY noisy neighbors. I suspect a neighboring unit has been rented by seasonal workers who threw parties every night that lasted until 3 am. I had a tough time sleeping even after lots of whiskey. Fortunately, on Saturday night the police showed up (not from us calling) and broke things up around 1 am.

Lastly, and I agree this is trivial, the temp control in the shower is backwards. I initially thought there was no hot water but there is...once you turn the knob to cold.

As you can see, other than the neighbors, these issues are all easily resolved and hopefully the owners take these comments into consideration and make some changes that will allow the next tenants to leave a 5 star review.

Owner's Response: Hi Joshua -- I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience in our apartment! I would have hoped that you would have contacted us immediately with any of these concerns -- we have lots of extra sheets, towels, pillows, etc that can all be exchanged out quickly. We also store extra toilet paper and paper towels in the hallway closet for guests to replenish and I'll make a note to make this more clear for our future guests. I really do appreciated all your the comments and will work towards fixing, as you mentioned most of them are easy and involve a conversation with our cleaning help (who are usually really terrific). Especially appreciate the tip about the noisy neighbors next door as we know those landlords and can work to have this resolved asap. All the best, Carolyn
