You can take a leisurely walk or use the 6 bikes to ride to the beach or a morning jog - stop for coffee or a drink at the cafes or restaurants along the way or pop into a movie at the near by theater. This home is located in a very convenient area and a nice quiet neighborhood. Enjoy your favorite libation while watching the spectacular sunsets on the beach at the many beach bars or restaurants.

Great location, beautiful home with a few issues

Our stay was enjoyable. The home was in great proximity to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The pool was perfect and the size of the home was adequate for our gathering.

The day we were to arrive, the owner called and informed us that he had the house on the market to sell and he had potential buyers who would like to look at the property. We accommodated his request but feel that if the house was to be shown, it should not be shown during the time renters are using the home.

We also feel a little TLC could make guests feel a bit more comfortable. Two cockroaches were found inside the home. We were going to inform the owner of this when the exterminator showed up to do routine treatment on the exterior of the home. We asked him to treat the inside as well. The vents on all the registers were very dirty and the windows could use a good cleaning. Otherwise, the linens were clean and the house was well stocked with beach towels, dishes, etc.

One of the amenities that attracted us to renting this property was the hot tub/spa. However, we found that it was not working when we arrived on Friday. We immediately called the landlord who said he would get his brother-in-law to check it out. After waiting most of the day on Saturday, it still was not in working order so we called again. The brother-in-law insisted that someone had been there, looked at it and said, “everything was fine.” We explained that we were at the house all day but no one had been there. Monday morning, the pool company came and checked the hot tub. The technician said he would inform the owner the “board needed to be replaced.” That was the last we saw of anyone to repair it.

First, we did not appreciate being lied to. Second, having paid full asking price for the rental, we would have expected everything to be in working order or addressed/fixed immediately.

The night prior to our departure, the owner called. We expressed our concerns to which he offered no response or compensation for our inconvenience. We have rented several properties in various locations and really liked this home. However, because of the aforementioned, we will seek another property when renting on Marco Island.

Owner's Response: Regarding the two cockroaches that were found the guest neglected to explain they were found DEAD not alive. We have a Pest Control Service who regularly monitors and sprays to control pests. A lot of people do not understand that a climate that does not have a below zero frost breeds various pests. When a pest is found dead means the Service is doing a good job, but it is part of living in a warm climate. A power surge damaged a circuit board on the spa and the Pool Service company had to order one. We did not offer a refund but did allow the guest to have a party at the house which consisted of friends and family. Most vacation home owners do not allow this to occur. We allowed it and did not charge for the additional guests. We have been renting our two vacation homes since 2004 and are fortunate to have many guests return. We are sorry this guest had some problems, we make effort to make every guest have a pleasant experience. Please also read the other reviews. Thank You, Bill and Sandy

Very Nice Property for a relaxing family Vacation

This is a lovely home and great place for a family vacation. The home is pretty well equipped with everything you will need. Owners are very nice and attentive to any concerns you may have. Marco Island is a beautiful peaceful place to vacation. I would definitely rent this house again if we return to Marco Island.

Beautiful perfect location

The house is very close to everything. Mini golf movies restaurants. We had 7 people very comfortable. The pool and hot tub very nice. Definitely need new pool cover. The plastic comes off in pool. A safety bar in tubs would be helpful for elderly. The steps into garage could also use a handrail. Everything else was great. Visit was too short.

Great option for those looking to have kitchen and their own pool. Perfect for couples or families.

This stay was just my wife and I so this property was more than we needed, but everything was great. Clean, well maintained and ready to use. 5 minute drive from grocery store and 10 minute walk to beach. Pool and hot tub were great, we cooked nearly every meal at home and used the pool everyday. Bill was attentive to any questions and provided great service. We will get back to Marco again and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property - good value and comfortable! Thanks for sharing your home Bill and Sandy.

Great time on Marco Island

First of all, the house is beautiful! Also, it is huge; we were only 2 people, and we only used the main living areas and the master bedroom. It was completely worth having a big house, because it is also a very peaceful and quiet area. The pool and hot tub are amazing, and we had the best time just sitting outside and watching the fish jumping in the canal.

We really appreciated how easy it was to get to everything. On the days that we went to the beach, we walked each time. Thank you so much for having beach chairs and umbrellas available! Literally everything about our stay was fantastic. Thank you for sharing your home!

Wonderful holiday getaway location

The house layout was awesome for our diverse group. The kitchen was great for working and entertaining at the same time. The beds were comfortable and the master bathroom was grand. The location was convenient for walking or biking to the important stuff (beach, shops and restaurants). The bikes were a bit rough and the knives were not very sharp for a serious cook, but one of the best homes on Marco I have stayed at in years.
