About Cynthia Frye

My husband and I are from southern CA and are planning on retiring in WA. Our Anacortes house has the most amazing view. I had so much fun with decorating our 'Bistro' home that we want to share it with others. We have even had Chef Mido Benjdia at our home to cook for our group. He had plenty of room to work and we had plenty of room to eat and have fun.

Cynthia Frye purchased this villa in 2013

Why Cynthia Frye chose Anacortes

I have always wanted to be in WA. When we decided to purchase we wanted close to Seattle. Our real estate agent wanted to take a look at Rosaria Rd, having extra time and going by we agreed. When we walked through the front door that was it. We made an offer, it was accepted, and we went home to wait out the escrow. We got home, my husband and I looked at each other and both asked if the house had bathrooms, the view is that breathtaking. We could not remember if we looked at anything else, honestly I am sure I did not even check out the bathrooms.

What makes this villa unique

Seclusion with an awesome view and comfort. Watch the Eagle flying around from the back deck as you sip a glass of wine. The sunsets are amazing but don't forget the sunrises. Watch as the sun comes up and notice the changes in the scene with every passing minute. Remember to try and guess the secret of the wine bottles.

Outstanding View, quiet location yet close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a 6 night visit at the Rosario Retreat. What a fabulous place to stay. Looks just like the pictures. The third bedroom appears to be a converted garage, not a lot of privacy in that room but lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and a spacious dining room table with a view of the water. We had wonderful weather when we were there and gorgeous sunsets. Would highly recommend!

Unbelievable location!!! Most beautiful view EVER !!

  • 4 of 5

The home is in a perfect location on hills/cliff overlooking the water off of Fidalgo island just minutes from Deception Pass, Mount Erie, Anacortes, Rosario beach and many other tremendous places to visit.

Quiet, clean, large, comfortable and artificially decorated

We will remember it forevermore!

We cleaned and kept it in perfect condition for the next guests, the owners or anyone who visits

Wonderful setting like last year except the horrible smoke from British Columbia limited the views. Still the house was comfortable and having AC an added perk. Cynthia was flexible on our arrangements and hers

Rosario Retreat is very conveniently located with easy access to the whole area. Just wish the checkout was later than 10 so we could sleep in to enjoy the ambience longer

Beautiful setting, beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

We love staying at Rosario Retreat. We stayed there last year with our family and loved it. This year was just as nice. After 5 days we were refreshed and left feeling so peaceful. The home overlooks the water and it is great sitting on the deck, drinking wine and enjoying the view. The kitchen is very functional. The beds are very comfortable. It is close to Deception Pass State Park and Rosario Beach so there are lots of walking opportunities if you want to get out. It is also only 6 miles from Anacortes to pick up groceries. The owner, Cynthia, is very nice and answers questions very quickly. She also leaves a complimentary bottle of wine which fits well with the decorating theme of the home. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Even if the weather is cloudy, it is still a wonderful vacation home, but the sunsets are stunning when the sun is shining. Enjoy!
