An absolute must!

With an amazing location, this cabin and bunkhouse are THE place to be if you are looking for a place to crash while on an ATV, snowmobile, mountain bike, hiking excursion. My friends and I stopped by once and have made it an annual trip. It's just that great!

An amazing wilderness experience...

  • 5 of 5

With Chalk Creek running a few feet away, tons of history, abandoned ghost towns, the Alpine Tunnel, and a gorgeous cabin, we were sure to have an incredible time. We are extremely grateful for the chance to stay in such a beautiful and truly wild place. Our host even helped with a run-down car battery and great tips for sights nearby that are off the beaten path. Highly recommended.

Fantastic luxury cabin in secluded, idyllic setting

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lew was a wealth of information about the area and the off-the grid building of the beautiful cabin. They had everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay for two adults and three elementary-aged children. The area was so serene and beautiful. The loudest thing around was the creek right next to the cabin. We enjoyed exploring the many trails in the area, St. Elmo's (which was about 10 minutes away), and heading in Buena Vista for the afternoon. Property was clean and very well maintained. The driveway is no joke! You definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. A wonderful vacation.

The log cabin you long for

  • 5 of 5

We cannot express enough how beautiful this log cabin home is. It had everything we were looking for. It was the perfect escape to spend our 10 year anniversary. The amazing mountain views are present the entire drive there, continue down to the cabin and even more so if you adventure out on a hike. The sound of the mountain creek is echoed throughout the cabin where the rustic feel makes you very comfortable and right at home. We are very thankful we came in our 4Runner as 4WD is really the only way to get to the cabin. We only wished we could have stayed longer because we enjoyed it so much and hope to do it again soon!

We are located on private land in the middle of San Isabel National Forrest. Very private.. No neighbors. The county road that accesses the property allows ATV's so you don't need to trailer your ATV up the canyon everyday.
