You'll enjoy this lovely, two story, Tuscan home, nestled in more than three acres of chardonnay vines. From the wrap around upper deck you'll see rolling hills and vineyards. The country kitchen has granite counters, five burner gas range, and all the equipment you'll need to prepare elegant meals. The upstairs bedroom has its own area for morning coffee. Downstairs you'll find the family room, laundry room and two more large bedrooms, each with its own private bath.

You'll be located near several important wineries, and we'll be happy to recommend our favorites.

This is a home for adults. Because of the hardwood stairway and other elements of the house and vineyard that would be dangerous for children, we are sorry but we can't rent to families with children under the age of 10. Please respect this when you book your reservation.

Our minimum stay is 3 nights during high season, 2 nights in winter with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas, where we have a 3 night minimum stay.

Legality issue:

We are a legal Sonoma rental and pay for licensing in Sonoma County. Guests should be aware that there are many unlicensed rentals in Sonoma city and County. Your deposit is at risk if you reserve one of those, and it is shut down prior to your arrival.

About Carol Collier

Many years ago we visited Sonoma and fell in love with the small town atmosphere and the lifestyle. When an opportunity arose to relocate, Sonoma was the obvious choice. We have resided here for fifteen happy years. We sell our chardonnay grapes to several important wineries. In 2014 we created our own wine. We call it "Namesake" and the label portrays the beautiful Western Meadowlark, whose flocks travel through the vineyard in the spring. We just bottled our third vintage.

Why Carol Collier chose Sonoma

My husband and I were hobby winemakers for several years. When this beautiful property became available it was an opportunity to grow our own grapes, and the gorgeous Tuscan style home was a bonus. A morning walk through rows of chardonnay vines while the sun lit up the vineyard was all it took to convince us. We love watching the hawks soar overhead and the hares bound through the vine rows. The vineyard is beautiful even after harvest when the vines are bare of fruit.

What makes this estate unique

This home has a lovely view from every window. We knew that when more living space was added, it would be perfect as a vacation home, so we began an extensive remodel. This very private, restful retreat is still close to the downtown amenities, the restaurants, tasting rooms, movie theatre and other activities. We know you'll like living here.

Best weekend ever.

Carol is the most gracious host of a multi million dollar property centrally located between Sonoma and Glen Ellen. Great access to the Sonoma square and beautiful wineries along highway 121. Casual elegance in staying in this beautiful estate. Updated furnishings and decor. We were pleased to relax and enjoy our meals from the upstairs kitchen and dining area with great views of the surrounding vineyards. Wonderful place for a family retreat or special occasion.

Perfect Place

I spent a long weekend in the house with my fiancé and our two friends and it was just perfect. As beautiful as all the vineyards are in Napa, we found ourselves anxious to get back home and enjoy the sunsets off the back deck. Carol was an excellent host and the rental could not have gone any better!

Lovely Vineyard Home Close to Everything in Sonoma & Napa

We recently stayed at this lovely property for a holiday vacation with our adult children and their significant others. Carol was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time in wine country. We would highly recommend this property. This was our first time in a private home vs hotels in Sonoma and Napa. It was perfect. We were able to cook out on the grill and spend evenings gathered together in the well appointed living room. Carol welcomed us with croissants and their label Chardonnay. Every detail was attended to and we can not say enough about what a wonderful time we had. Would definitely stay again.

When guests come to Sonoma during the holidays, we realize it isn't the same as celebrating at home, so we try to make it as special and festive as possible. Sonoma is back on track as a great place for a vacation. The fires in October were bad, and many homes were lost including some nice vacation rental properties. We were fortunate that our area was spared. We have owned this property for several years and have hosted nice guests who respect the home and many return for another visit. We hope to see you again and again.

During the recent fires, we have experienced an outpouring of contact from prior guests who saw the news and wrote or called to wish us well. We are grateful that our rental property has been unharmed when so many other residences in the valley have suffered great damage. Our local fire fighters and many workers from other states have worked hard to contain the blazes and save lives through rapid evacuations. Many areas of our country are vulnerable to fire, winds, and floods, but we believe Sonoma residents and business owners will pull together to recreate our lovely vacation town and welcome guests again in a few weeks. .

Flipping amazing! Way better than a hotel!

We stayed here with 2 other couples. The views are ALL DAY long! Sunsets are so beautiful and change by the minute. The owner actually owns the vinyards around the house. There's a grill fire pit etc. we would be out most of the day and come back at night to relax. House was stocked well enough for us to grill out there. Beautiful deck on the west side of the house. Great calm quiet location. Definitely better than being in Napa.

Welcome to Sonoma, one of the most picturesque places in California wine country. Our Sonoma Meadowlark home is surrounded by many vineyards and wineries, most located within a mile's drive. We are approximately twelve minutes from the Plaza, the center of town. Tuesday night Farmers' markets, art and music festivals, movies, and many other events take place on the Plaza. There are also many tasting rooms, restaurants, and boutique shops.

All legal rentals in Sonoma are licensed. Our transient occupancy certificate is: 1130N. Be sure you are staying at a legal rental, because others are being closed by the city and county governments.

We offer 7th day free for a one week stay. A signed rental contract and payment will secure the reservation. At present, cleaning is included in the stated charge.
Cancellations 30 days prior to check in will be charged one night's rental fee as a service charge. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to check in will forfeit entire amount unless home can be re-rented.
This is a legal Sonoma County rental.

Unauthorized guests will not be allowed. If this happens, you will incur an extra charge of $800 per night.
