The Garden City Guest House is nestled in the quiet Rose Park residential neighborhood close to UM and downtown. This spacious, private, well-maintained guest house is within walking distance of free Mountain Line Bus, the Hip Strip, Caras Park, the Rose Garden, Bonner Park, Western MT Fairgrounds, shopping and dining, and a variety of community and commercial centers. It is also a short distance from most Missoula-area outdoor and tourist destinations. Our guest house, open year-round, is perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. The guest house is a garden apartment on the lower level of a single family home. The owner and family live on the upper two floors of this newly-remodeled, vintage 1940’s home. We would like you to feel right at home during your stay at the Garden City Guest House and will do whatever we can to ensure your visit is relaxing and memorable. The guest house is thoughtfully furnished and stocked with many family-friendly touches of home, including books, movies, games, puzzles, and more.
The guest house has been furnished to create a healthy, serene, and peaceful environment for your stay. The guest house will only be rented to non-smokers - no exceptions. The 650-square foot guest house can accommodate two people comfortably, and will sleep up to four people in one queen bed and one queen sleeper sofa. The bedroom is comfortably furnished with a queen size bed, bedside tables, shelves, and a five-drawer dresser inside a spacious walk-in closet. You’ll find a 6’ couch in the living room which folds out into a very comfortable queen size memory foam sleeper. All linens are provided. The full bathroom has all new fixtures and furnishings including a tub and spacious tiled shower, an ultra quiet bath fan, and brand new washer/dryer. All flooring is new, including plush carpet in the bedroom.
The kitchen is well-equipped and furnished with all new stainless steel kitchen appliances, including a full-size smooth-top electric cookstove and oven, an 18” “silent” (46 DBA) dishwasher, and a French-door refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser. You’ll also find a microwave, coffee maker, Keurig and K-cups, juicer, blender, toaster, an easy-to-clean granite composite sink with electric disposal, and many other features to make your dining-in experience easy and convenient.
The guest house is a non-smoking establishment with all the modern amenities such as cable on a 42” flat screen HDTV, DVD player, and free wi-fi internet. This walk-out garden apartment was designed with a distinctive separate entry that feels like home, a 100 square foot private patio with BBQ grill and shaded seating, a large garden area, and free off-street parking well lit for safety and convenience.
You’ll find lots of light in this newly redone guest house, accented by stylish mahogany trimmed windows. The daylight design allows the guest house to stay cool, even on the hottest days. For cooler nights, stay comfortable with an electric fireplace, insulated windows, and cozy furnishings. Wall heaters create the perfect temperature in each room utilizing separately zoned thermostats.
We also want to provide you with every opportunity to live sustainably, even while on vacation, if you should choose. We have provided equipment such as a compost bin, plastic bag dryer, recycle bin, laundry washing ball, and energy efficient appliances. We converted the fenced-in rear yard to a water-wise landscape, and the garden setting is representative of the intermountain west grasslands. We maintain several fruit trees on the property—plum, pear, apple, and cherry—and our guests are free to make use of any fruit in season.
