About Doug and Stephanie

Our family loves the outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing, musicals and riding ATV's. Our dad hopes to teach us to fly fish someday. This cabin is his mid-life crisis or his dream come true.

Doug and Stephanie purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Doug and Stephanie chose Duck Creek Village

This is what happens when your friends invite you to their cabin. We fell in love with this awesome place and we think you would love the proximity to so many wonderful sites. Southern Utah is one of the most unique places on earth. Plus our friends were able to purchase another cabin nearby. It is nice and cool during the summer and gets plenty of snow during the winter yet it is accessible year round. A place our family can unplug from the world and experience family time together.

What makes this cabin unique

This is a luxury custom cabin on 1.5 acres of land. The master has a king size bed and jetted tub in the bathroom. The guest rooms each have two queen beds. It is one of the few cabins on the mountain that has air conditioning. The large free standing gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the cabin. The loft houses two bedrooms and also has a large area for TV and play area. A comfortable wrap around porch covers 3/4 of the cabin with an outside grill. The driveway is easy to navigate.

3rd time booking - It's AMAZING!

  • 5 of 5

This luxury cabin is so spacious and beautiful - we have stayed in it 3 years in a row and hope to stay many more! There is nowhere else we would ever want to stay! This cabin simply has everything you would ever need and it makes it so easy to pack for a trip when all you need to bring is your food and clothes...they really think of everything! This year we packed up a lunch and rented a pontoon boat from Rocky Point Boat Dock at Paguitch Lake, just a little over half hour away. The Dock Crew is amazing and I would recommend this family owned outfit to anyone! We caught 15 big rainbow trout and made tons of new memories! Can't wait to book again next year!

Gorgeous cabin in a beautiful neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

My family and I loved this place! It is a gorgeous home that is easily accessible, very spacious, and well furnished/stocked. Plus the owners are very kind and responsive. The neighborhood and surrounding areas are of course very beautiful and peaceful - mostly quiet except for the sound of the occasional off-road vehicle that makes you want to get out and RIDE! We enjoyed our stay here, as we felt comfortable and right at home from the very start. Highly recommended!

Owner's Response: We try to keep the kitchen stocked with spices the kind of spice rack from Costco so if you find that you cook with specific spices it would be best to bring them along. The outside grill is gas and has an extra tank next to the grill on the porch. Thank you for visiting and creating memories in Duck Creek!

This home is amazing

  • 5 of 5

The home offered everything we needed for our stay. It was quiet, clean, and well stocked with living supplies. The owners were prompt and efficient in resolving a previous issue and kept us informed of the remediation prior to our arrival. We had an unusual request that was resolved within an hour! I highly recommend this home.

Owner's Response: We appreciate when renters can let us know if something is not working correctly during their stay so we can have our amazing maintenance crew repair or replace the item. We love our cabin and want to keep it in the best condition as possible for when we visit as well.

Perfect Cabin in mountain country

  • 5 of 5

This is a gorgeous cabin in an amazing mountain setting. All the amenities you can think of plus more. Deer wanter through the property and you will love the crisp mountain air. We were able to hike at Bryce, Zion and Red Rock easily from this cabin .. and come back to this perfect setting. The town of Duck Creek is also nice with ATV rentals and quaint little restaurants.

You'll be happy you picked this cabin!

Owner's Response: We try to keep it organized and have labeled drawers and cupboards so that it will be easy to return things to the correct drawers and cabinets. We are glad that you felt like it was a little piece of paradise we truly believe that as well. Find the hidden treasures of Duck Creek by hiking the local hikes as well.

Perfect Central Location to National Parks!

  • 5 of 5

I am so grateful that we opted to stay in this beautiful mountain retreat. My family of 5 started by flying into Phoenix and driving to the Grand Canyon. During that time, we were squeezed into an overpriced, tiny hotel room adjacent to the park. We couldn't even open all of our luggage at the same time it was so small. The food choices were dismal. While we still greatly enjoyed the beauty of the Grand Canyon, it was tough to come back to that hotel each night.

Thankfully, to explore Bryce Canyon and Zion, we checked out of that hotel and into this fabulous home! It was so refreshing to be able to spread out, have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and the ability to cook our own meals. The drive to each park (about one hour) was easy and pretty. Because we were driving from the Grand Canyon, we stopped at the Safeway in Page, Arizona to stock up on groceries before coming to the cabin. You definitely want to do that, as there really aren't many food options in the area.

My husband and I have both traveled extensively for work, and can be "travel snobs" when it comes to our accommodations. This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, the decor was great, and the attention to detail the owners put into it is the best we have ever encountered (and we've rented a lot from VRBO). We decided to take a break from the parks one day and rented ATVs in the tiny town of Duck Creek Village. It was a blast!

We did eat dinner one night at Cafe Adobe (on route 89 between Bryce and the cabin). It was excellent Mexican food about 20 minutes from the cabin. If you are considering renting this place, I would not hesitate to do it!
