INCREDIBLE !!

  • 5 of 5

I really can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience here was . My daughter had her wedding at black canyon inn so we had about 30 guests staying in Estes and we rented this house for ourselves and 8 other people. We had 4 children ages 6 to 12 . The house was amazing. Has everything we needed. All very comfortable beds. The outdoor area including the river and hot tub were fantastic. We were able to have wedding guests after the wedding and there was plenty of space (about 20 people). Jeannie was more than accommodating with our group and our plans. About a easy 25 min drive to Estes . The kids loved their room with the bunk beds and had plenty of towels blankets pillows etc . You do not need to bring any spices pots pans or utensils. They have everything ! The windows open and sound of the river were incredible as well as coffee in the morning on the deck .The landscaping and flowers were so beautiful and such a variety of birds to watch. We are already talking about coming back next summer . Such nice people with a beautiful home Thank you for helping make my daughters wedding such an amazing experience

A wonderful week in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have chosen a better spot to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. The house itself is warm and inviting, and the setting is nothing short of spectacular with its views of Mt. Copeland and Mt. Meeker and the comforting sound of North St. Vrain Creek at the foot of the hill. The kids loved their special room with its bunks and tents, and the adults slept comfortably in their well-appointed bedrooms. Everyone enjoyed the spacious hot tub. The new washer and drier make it possible to avoid the necessity of packing a full week worth of clothing, and the well-appointed kitchen with its new appliances made it possible to prepare anything we wanted to fix. The kitchen is even stocked with almost every imaginable spice. Jeanie and Charles, our hosts, were friendly and accommodating. When Jeanie learned that some of us were birders she went out of her way to acquire and hang extra feeders. I regret that we may not again need to host such a large gathering in the near future, but if we did this home would certainly be our first choice!

This house was a dream!

  • 5 of 5

This place is THE BOMB! We had 12 people in our party, most of them adults and there was a bed for everyone. The master bedroom is to die for - a king sized bed and a huge bay window with 2 rocking chairs that look out toward the babbling creek down the hill out back. There were 3 full sized bathrooms that each had a tub/shower so we never felt crowded. The house is absolutely beautiful and has a newly updated, and very lovely, kitchen with everything you may need: cooking was a breeze. The whole place was beautifully decorated in a very woodsy, cabin-ish style, right down to the knobs on the cabinets. The huge deck and hot tub were a big draw for us. Another fantastic feature of this property is the scenery. You couldn't ask for anything more beautiful. The creek running by was especially fun to hear at night, and the kids enjoyed playing in it during the day. Another fantastic feature is that it is literally right across the street from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. - tons of scenic hiking trails right out your front door!

Jeanie and her husband work very hard in keeping this place as serene and beautiful as it is. We truly appreciate their hospitality. They are lovely people and I highly recommend staying at their vacation get-a-way.

Great vacation

  • 5 of 5

Lovely property with all the amenities that you could ask for. The house was very well stocked and functional. Jeanie lives next door and is on the property with regularity taking care on the very well landscaped yard but is the kindest person who is willing to help or provide about anything that you need. We had 6 adults and 9 children aged 1 to 9. They loved the house, property, river, camping out and helping Ms Jeanie in the yard! A perfect family vacation for my wife and i, our two daughters and their families.

Owner's Response: The 9 children were the darlingest, best behaved children I have experiences in a while. They were so happy just to be here at Tranquility. We enjoyed just hearing their laughter when they were outside. I would love to see them again. Everyone of them were beautiful and sooo smart too. Oh, by the way the parents and grandparents were well behaved too!!!

Beautiful Property Well Suited for Families of All Ages

  • 5 of 5

We selected this property because it sleeps a big group, was close to our wedding location (Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center), and the North St Vrain river runs through the property, which allows for fishing. This property was exactly as advertised, well stocked in kitchen, baths, laundry, etc. We held a family picnic/grill out after the rehearsal for 50 people and there was plenty of room for our family to spend quality time together. The owner of this property is a gem! She greeted us upon arrival, made sure to walk us through the nuances of the cabin (light locations, tips on water usage, where to find stocked items, etc). The property owner was very prompt in returning email communication, and it was a benefit to have her living on the property, yet she was not obtrusive in any way to our vacation and family time. I would stay here again and highly recommend for families with children! The children's room is charming and adventurous! Thank you Jeanie. Only one recommendation - the property exterior /deck has been painted a different color than shown in the posted VBRO picture. We suggest posting an updated photo of property exterior because the first time arriving to the property we were looking for a light paint, and the deck is now a reddish color.

Owner's Response: Thank You so much for your suggestion! I never thought of that. I will post new pictures because the whole cabin is going to be painted this fall and it will be a different color too. Plus I have not posted the newly remodeled kitchen and I need much better pictures anyway mine are not very good. So glad you all were happy with our accominidations.
