Welcome to a hidden Parisian paradise !! The 'Mouzaïa' neighbourghood is small, peaceful, far from noise, cars and hectic Paris, but it is almost unknown of tourists and even Parisians themselves.
Often called 'the countryside in Paris', this flowerful neighbourhood is composed of 19th century houses which have been marvelously preserved since then. The small paved streets allow no cars, and are sided by private gardens in front of each house.
Wake up with the chirping birds, enjoy a croissant breakfast in the sun, or a wine and cheese diner near the fireplace. Take a 5 minute walk to the famous and colourful Rue de Belleville, or to the most trendy park in Paris 'Les Buttes Chaumont', or prefer the nextdoor confidential 'Buttes du Chapeau Rouge'. Stroll down the nearby Canal Saint Martin and its hipsterish cafés. Push a little further to the bohemian Ménilmontant. Make your way through the 'Place des Fêtes' inside one of the largest three-days-a-week market to find the fresh fish of the day along with fruits and vegetables coming straight from the farmer. You will enjoy Paris as very few people do, and all this just 15 minutes away from Chatelêt, the center of the city!
With 950 sq feet, the house is composed of four levels. You will find three large bedrooms each with sleeps for two, one bathroom with a very comfortable shower. The ground floor has an open kitchen and very nice living room. One room is situated on the lower level, one is on level two near the bathroom and level three is one large upstairs room. There is a fire place in the living room, as well as a piano. There is a video projector in the lower room where you can connect your laptop to watch your favorite movies. You will find a barbecue grill for all you meat lovers.
The house has all comfort and facilities. Wifi connection is very fast. The kitchen is a very modern one, and includes a dishwasher. A laundry machine is also available.
No doubt that you will take back great memories of your stay in our house and definitely recommend this very secret place to your lucky friends. But please, don't tell too many people about it. Let it be our little secret !!!
A lovely place to stay at Paris is this beautyful old house in Mouzaia! I am sure, the cat Zumbi makes you feel at home soon.
Situated at the border of central Paris you reach the old city inbetween 20 min by a short walk and the Metro at all times. Nearby you can find all thinks of your daily need, including a big market of fresh food three times a week. The house is well equiped, clean and comfortable for us 4. Gregory opend the door and explained us the house and Zumbi, at the day of depature it was possible to leave our baggage in the house as long as needed.
Staying there for one week we visited one highlight of Paris per day returning in the evening. Everytime we felt very wellcome in this homely house. At the ground floor there is a american kitchen with a big table to sit and eat and a second part built as living room - with a sofa for Zumbi ;)! Upstairs there are two bedrooms, especially this one at the very top is exceeding. Downstairs you will find a third bedroom, offering you enough space for a big family.
We are very happy to stay at this house and really recommend it.
Enjoy your stay and say hallo to Zumbi
I am an ex-Parisian who showed three groups of Americans around my beloved Paris for 2+ weeks. The house was comfortable and Gregory was welcoming. The house feels like a quasi-rural oasis in the midst of Paris, with a front yard that is perfect for al fresco dining. The top floor bedroom was the quietest rest I've had in years (with intrusions only from local cats, singing at night or actually visiting). The house was in great shape, and comfortable, and Gregory was a delight, helpful, quick with the bond refund, etc. Three small things, but they are nits: (1) the house is a bit out of the way for the younger set, who might enjoy downtown partying with a longish return commute (nothing awful, but maybe 45'); (2) the house has limited comfortable seating space (one small love seat, in addition to ample kitchen chairs); and (3) the house has three double beds, so two couples and two children means sharing beds. Overall, though, possibly the best rental experience I've ever had, from house to owner. I highly recommend it.
We are a family of 2adults and 4children and had a fantastic stay in Mouzaia. We loved the fact we were in the outer neighbourhood where we could immerse ourselves in daily life or as easily jump the metro for the iconic tourist destinations in the city centre. From walking up the cute lane to the front gate to strolling the parks with the locals it felt like we lived here.... Gregory was a great help with local advise, a welcome vino...and a prompt bond refund.
