Tiger Wang purchased this apartment in 2007
Boston College, Boston Univ. Harvard Univ. Near by.
Nice & Quite Neighborhood in Boston City.
The property is outstanding. The floorplan is particularly good for couples/families travelling together as there are actually two suites and can be closed off if needed. The home is immaculate and comfortable, and very welcoming. A short walk to Brighton which had some good pubs and restaurants, and a bakery. The parking place was a lifesaver. Thank you for making our trip to Boston so good!
The apartment was very clean, well maintained, and well organized, and it was comfortable. It's in a clean, quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well-stocked with kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and dishware. Tiger was very friendly and accommodating. Hotels in Boston are very expensive, so this apartment was much more affordable.
We had the misfortune of having noisy upstairs neighbors who came in late (between 1 and 3 a.m.) each morning and woke us up, but that was just bad luck. The length of time it took to get to the old part of downtown Boston was a little exaggerated - it took about 50-55 minutes to get from the apartment to the Park St. subway stop, including walking to the bus stop, taking the bus to the Kenmore subway station, and the subway to Park St. at the Boston Commons. The instructions on where to get off the subway on the way back from the city need to be changed to say "Kenmore" and not "Kenmore Fenway", since the stop after Kenmore is Fenway, and bus 57 does not go from the Fenway stop (as we found out the hard way). The subway and bus get very busy during rush hour during the week.
There aren't any real restaurants nearby, but there are a few pizza places and small eateries within a 15 minute walk. The nearest market (KiKi's) does not have much, but we found a newly-opened Bfresh grocery store above the Starbucks at the Washington St. bus stop, and that is a great store. Since grocery stores don't carry alcoholic beverages in Mass., we found a couple of liquor stores just down Washington from the bus stop, which are a 10 to 15 minute walk from the apartment. The lack of restaurants and stores close by is the reason we gave the property four stars instead of five.
We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. When you know the information above and don't have a problem with the travel time to the old part of Boston (which we didn't), it's a great place to stay in a quiet, clean neighborhood, and it's very reasonable price-wise.
The apartment was really spacious and light and in a great neighborhood. There is a cool grocery store - Be Fresh - within walking distance as well as a number of restaurants for breakfast. You can walk to the B line at Boston College to get into town. The apartment easily slept 7 people and the owner was great to work with. I would definitely stay there again!
The place was clean and organized for our arrival. Tiger was very responsive and allowed us to check in early since we arrived earlier than we expected. We had plenty of room for our party of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids). Tiger was available for questions and great to work with. We had a car, so it was very nice to have the parking and the location was terrific. The sites of Boston were only minutes away. We only use VRBO when traveling (since we have a lot of kids!) so we have seen many places and operators. We would recommend Tiger's house to anyone traveling in the area that is looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Very nice rental for family of seven. Convenient to entire Boston area.
Everything was very nice. Very well equipped house. Spacious. The neighborhood was amazing. Close to the city. Tiger was very helpfull and helped me and my group get acquaintted to the house. Will def. try to come back! And recommend it to anybody and everybody!
