Amazing Waterfall view and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful location with a great view of Horsetail Falls and surrounding peaks.

Comfortable and spacious. Some basic kitchen items were missing (barbeque tools, vegetable peeler), but the property managers kindly went out and bought them for us.

Overall a wonderful stay.

Simply Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We have been renting cabins in the Mammoth area for almost 18 years. It's always been a hit or miss for us. But this cabin was a sure home run.

It's very clean and spacious. Upon entering, I wasn't worried about having to wash the linen or blankets before each use, there were no dust mites in the closets or spiderwebs in the fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need...even a crockpot!

The best part of the cabin was the floor to ceiling windows from the living room. The view of the backyard with a snow packed mountain setting was breathtaking. But what we liked most was the ability to watch the kids play in the backyard from the comforts of the couch. Yup, the big kids played in the snow for hours while I enjoyed the warmth inside with the baby.

The only big disclaimer...there's no wifi or landline. We had no way of reaching our family to let them know that we travelled through the storm safely. It also would've been nice to be able to check the weather forecast, updates on the lifts, and search for eateries nearby. But we survived and would go back again.

And the owners are very responsive. All my questions were answered immediately. We look forward to returning to this exact same cabin in the years to come. It's simply perfect!

Peaceful Beauty

  • 5 of 5

The house is true to the photos. Our family of four loved the house, which was close to June Mountain for skiing, but outside the bustle of Mammoth. I imagine it would be perfect in the summer too. Hope we can come back! The management company called us before our arrival about road conditions and offered assistance (though we didn't need any).

Absolutely Breathtaking

  • 5 of 5

When my family chose this cozy cabin in the heat of Summer 2016 we were praying that we didn't have to do a snow dance since we booked our stay so far in advance.

With that worry behind us due to the non-stop snow this season in the Sierra's of course the next thing to stress about would be our accommodations. When we arrived to the home and opened the door it put the pictures online to shame.

The views are so picturesque we thought we were staring up at a movie set. Nothing beats eating breakfast at a table in front of nothing but windows focusing on powder covered peaks.

Everything in the home was arranged and decorated with taste. The finishes in the home make you feel like you're staying in a luxurious home and not a cabin in the middle of what feels like nowhere. The rooms were nice size. Plenty of sleeping places for at least 6 people. The quarters are optimal for a family looking for a place that feels like home. Bring nothing with you other than food if you intend to cook. This cabin has all of the supplies from cookware to flatware, and of course the essential coffee maker. Be sure to use the fireplace to keep you nice and toasty.

Last but not least, I have to give a big thank you to our host Carol. When we initially inquired about the property it was so far in advance that she had to save the dates to accomodate us. When we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. She made sure everything was done to perfection including snow removal. Thank you Carol!

My family and I established this tradition in 2015. This was our second annual trip to June Mountain. I will be coming back for many years to come, and this will be our home base. I trust that you will enjoy your stay as much as we did. Cheers!

Fantastic house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at this wonderful, new home! Incredible mountain views from almost every window of the house. House was tucked away in a forest like neighborhood which provided a seclusive vacation experience!

Heads up- no blow dryer and we had to tape about 10 electrical outlets on floor so baby would not put fingers in.

Truly a wonderful place, we hope to get back in the summer!

Great VRBO 10 min from June Mt Ski

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this great house on Pres. day weekend 2016 with two parents and three elementary aged children. It is ten minutes from the mountain and we were able to get up J1 before the crowds every day. The house is very nice and inviting. We would definitely recommend this to our friends. The price is similar to other places we've stayed in the valley but much higher quality and bigger.

Pros.

Great appointed open and airy kitchen

Great room with cathedral ceilings for family movies after skiing

Downstairs bedroom with bunk bed and two twins for kids

Powerful hot water heater

Laundry

Gas fireplace

DVD & Large flat screen TV

Cons

No wifi

Outside parking
