3 Bedroom, 2 Bath upgraded A-frame on a quiet street on Lake Tahoe's West Shore

Get comfortable in a renovated Tahoe cabin with a view of the lake and a private home owners beach. Hiking or mountain biking through Paige Meadows, and in the winter time you are 10 minutes from Homewood, 20 minutes from Squaw or Alpine Meadows.

The house is 2 miles from Tahoe City, with access to restaurants, bike rentals, and grocery stores. The nearest casino's are 45 minutes away, at Stateline on the North Shore.

This is an Upgraded A-frame; you'll be very comfortable within the context of a traditional Tahoe Cabin.

There are 3 bedrooms: 1 downstairs (twin Bed with a trundle), and 2 upstairs (one King, one Queen).

The front deck has a picnic table with chairs and a gas BBQ.

For hiking or mountain biking, you can start from the house and explore Paige Meadows. Or, you can park at the Home Owners beach and take the bike path South to Tahoma, or North to Tahoe City and continue on to Squaw Valley beside the Truckee River.

You are 2 miles South of Tahoe City. In the winter time you are 10 minutes from Homewood, and 20 from Squaw or Alpine Meadows.

The Lake Tahoe Park Association home owners property provides free access to over three acres of lake front property with 850 feet of beach, 2 piers, boat buoys, picnic facilities, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, lawn area, playground equipment, basketball court and open space - just 5 minutes from the house.

The house is in a neighborhood which is 500 feet above Lake Tahoe, which not only offers panoramic views of Lake Tahoe but is also quiet and safely removed from the day to day tourist traffic as it is near the end of a dead end road.

The house sits back from the road on a very large lot with 4 standalone houses.

About Mark Johnson

I have lived in Tahoe full time since 1997, working remotely for a networking company in the Bay Area. My wife Andrea is a dual citizen of Germany and the United States, and works at Squaw Valley in the winter at the Children's ski school. My wife and I are lucky enough to be raising our three girls in this amazing Alpine setting we call home.

Amazing place to reunite with family/friends

We loved the location of the property, which afforded us a great view of the lake and the mountains. The property owner Mark Johnson, was communicative, and the turnaround time for answers or information was brief. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bedrooms adequately housed 6 people. Although we cooked a lot, there were a couple of restaurants we could recommend: The Blue Agave, and BridgeTenders. Plenty of beaches close by and many walking trails within 5 minutes of the property. We will definitely be back, and bring more friends

Conveniently located, clean cabin

Cabin was perfect for our family's ski vacation - sufficiently spacious for our two kids and dogs and very clean. We loved the location, the views and the hiking trails near the house. So good that we extended our trip an extra day.

Tahoe Woods

This was a perfect place for my family of four. We have two small children and they had plenty of space and things to do right out the door.

I have already recommended this place to friends that are from Tahoe and need a little more space when they visit family.

This review is not 5 stars, 5 star amenities are not what I expect for a small family. This place is great.

Excellent home for the holiday break

This home was very spacious and stocked with everything you would need to cook (pots, pans, nice oven) dishes,stay warm, etc. This may be our new holiday getaway every year. The owner was very prompt with all my questions too!
