You'll love relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views right off our spacious deck or taking a nice dip in our very secluded hot tub. We're also just steps away from an awesome trailhead where you'll find miles of hiking, biking, and off-roading. And we're just a few minute drive to the ski slopes!

What makes this cabin unique

The beautiful views off the back deck are one of the things I enjoy most.

Barbecuing, star gazing, or outside dining.

Relaxing in the tot tub after a day of swimming in the lake, hiking, or skiing.

The most perfect location!

Guestbook comments from the owner

The location of this house is great. A quick jaunt down the hill and in you're in the village. The decks are lovely and the fireplace was nice and cozy. The kitchen was well supplied and the host was very responsive.

Cute and quaint, with a beautiful view.

Great location close to everything. Anabel the owner, made sure everything went smoothly. The rooms are nicely appointed. Some of the lights were a little tricky, but it was part of the charm. The view from the back wrap around porch was incredible especially during the thunderstorms. The little fire place warms up the cabin so well you might need to open the dual sliders on the porch. My honey and 5 of our seven children fell in love with this beautiful little cabin. Hopefully we will get to visit again soon!

Summer getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The cabin was exactly as described and pictured. It was more than enough room for our family of four. It is centrally located, but in a very quiet neighborhood and no more than a 10-minute walk to the village. It is very well stocked...EVERYTHING you could need in the kitchen; more than enough bath towels, plus extra for the jacuzzi; plenty of shampoo/conditioner/soap in both showers; family games/DVD's/books. And, it was very clean!

Coffee every morning on the deck was my "happy place", and the kids enjoyed being out there at night to stargaze. The blackout curtains in the living area do a great job of shading the afternoon sun, and the outside umbrellas do the same for the deck.

The nearby trail-head (literally just a few steps from the cabin on the other side of the street) made for a great hike without having to pack-up the car and drive to find one. This trail goes on and on for miles, and runs into many other trails. It is very well-marked. If your not sure how far you want to take it, try to get a local trail map. My husband and kids turned back after about a mile, but I took it all the way to Grandview Point...not easy, but absolutely gorgeous!

The checkout instructions were clear and very easy to follow. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this cabin to my family and friends.

We had a great time at the Bear's Den. It was family friendly and had everything we needed for our stay. While at the cabin, wespent most of our time relaxing on the deck or playing games. We hope to come back soon.

Quiet Cabin Close to Trails and Village

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our time at this cabin. We have four kids and the cabin had enough space for sleeping and hanging out. The living area was upstairs and the rooms were down stairs. We liked this set up for napping children. We went in late Spring so there were few people around. Most snow was melted by then so it was very quiet for us. My wife and I were grateful for this. I don't know how it is during other seasons. The cabin was located two houses up from a trailhead that we hiked a number of times. Our kids discovered a creek as well to play near. This is what we were hoping to find: a number of places for our kids to play in nature without having to pile in to the van to find it and we found it here. The cabin feels off the beaten path but we actually walked down the Big Bear Lake Village to get ice cream and coffee. Our family used the hot tube several times a day. It was a real treat for us and was an added bonus to our stay. We had no issues and would stay here again.

The Bears Den is a wonderful home in a prime location. Kitchen is well stocked, very comfortable bed, and great living space with wrap around deck. The property is only a 10 minute walk to the village where you'll find some cool shops and places to eat. I would definitely stay here again.
