About Brett

We love Grand Haven and are involved with the GH Coast Guard Festival, so we love to entertain and have families have a wonderful time. We lived on one side of this duplex and are now renting it to families and friends.

Brett purchased this cottage in 2000

Why Brett chose West Central

This place is perfect, on a direct walk to the beach or all the restaurant and stores within 5 blocks! 8 ice cream stores within walking distance!! A historical home, tall ceilings, big rooms downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs and well maintained with new furnishings. Huge basement to store your bikes or extra beach equipment.

What makes this cottage unique

Your front porch is perfect for the morning cup of coffee, a leisurely lunch or to watch the Coast Guard Festival parade go by! On a much traveled bike and walking/jogging route.

Great Experience! Very pleased & satisfied! We plan to return.

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased and satisfied with this rental. In fact, on the second of third day, we attempted to extend our stay. Brett was excellent. He was very responsive before we booked with answering our questions, after we booked with providing necessary information, and after we arrived with responding to very minor issues. For instance, the hot water knob in the shower was loose making it difficult, but not unusable, to turn on and adjust; one phone call and Brett arrived a couple hours later to fix it. We would recommend this unit and this owner and his other unit(s) and plan to come back to Grand Haven and stay in this unit again, but longer than three days next time!

Charming Home

  • 5 of 5

Very cute charming home. It was a nice clean home with hardwood floors throughout. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the supplies we needed. We had a girls weekend with 6 adults and were all comfortable. We walked to the town for restaurants and activities. Spent every morning and evening on the front porch. The beach was a little out of walking distance but it was a very short drive. We would stay here again. The property owner reached out to us the day of to make sure we had everything we needed.

Great place to stay

Wonderful old home that was fully equipped for a great week. We are already talking about staying there again! Highly recommend having a car, it is an easy walk to town but quite a ways to the beach.

charming home in cozy neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

This is a charming old home in a cozy neighborhood of Grand Haven. The landlords are very responsive and very friendly people. they stocked the Home & kitchen well with all the necessary equipment and supplies to to cook and take care of a family.the home was set up pretty well with the sleeping area upstairs and separated by a door from the living area. The separate areas made our stay a little easier because we had small children. The half bath on the first floor also makes this home a little more modern and comfortable. the master bedroom is quite spacious. we fit an extra crib in it. the middle room has two beds the final room is small but cozy with a full or double bed that could easily sleep two kids.

If you are staying with small children under the age of 7, that is kids that aren't super comfortable on a bicycle, getting to the beach or downtown on a regular basis without a car is not realistic. We had Toddlers and made it to the beach on our bicycles one day, but all we could do was muster just enough strength to get back to the home. With just our older kids and us could have gone to the beach or downtown on bikes regularly if we didn't have little kids.

the beach and everything else in Grand Haven is very accessible with a vehicle in a minute or two.

the window unit air conditioning was ok. However, we were there during a very cool time. The bathroom does not have air conditioning. The lack of air conditioning in the bathroom did not bother us, but once again when we were there it was cool.
