Our two-story log home includes a spacious living area with separate dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Three bedrooms plus a large sleep-in loft and 3.5 baths, and a unique decor, cozy wood stove, washer/dryer, garage, deck and hi-speed wireless internet. Wonderful northern views with a new outdoor hot tub makes this house the perfect vacation get-a-way. 53 Paradise is a half mile from the ski area, is on the winter bus route, has a large deck overlooking the West Elks and Snodgrass with a hot tub. Animal viewing is frequent, particularly deer, fox, ducks and geese. The home is fully furnished and tastefully decorated. The full master bedroom is upstairs, and second master bedroom downstairs opens onto the back deck. A third bedroom has two twin beds and the fourth is a spacious loft with two single beds and its own full bath.

53 Paradise has become a home away from home for us. Everything about this house is wonderful; the stunning view of Snodgrass mountain, the accessibility to the best hiking and biking, the peaceful serenity and the overall comfort. We could work when we had to with the internet connection and tables with a view, and return from a day in the beautiful mountains to a hot tub and dinner. The house is spacious ad well equipped; from laundry to snow shovels. Hunter is responsive, welcoming and the best of hosts. He makes us feel like family. Thank you for sharing your house; we will be back!

Great location, amazing views
This was our second time staying at 53 Paradise. We really enjoyed being on the quiet side of the mountain, but still being close enough to ride bikes to the mountain village or town.
If you mountain bike, hike, or run this location is ideal. Close to Snodgrass, Lupine, 401, and the CBMR Evolution Bike Park. If you come during the summer and have kids we highly recommend the RMBL in Gothic nature camps or other camps in town.
Hunter and the property management firm were great at checking in on us to see if we needed anything. The house had everything we needed from a well stocked spice cabinet to extra towels for the hot tub.
We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at Paradise Rd. was nothing shy of fabulous. We traveled from Wisconsin to attend our son's graduation in Gunnison and we could not possible have chosen a better place to stay. The home is nicely furnished and well-stocked with every possible amenity. There is absolutely nothing that fell short, nothing we could say "if only they had a ..." The views out the windows and off the deck were spectacular!!! Personally, I was awestruck with how clean the air was in the mountains, and how cold and clean the water was right out of the tap. The Quiet was surreal. And the stars at night!!!! As a final note, Hunter was fabulous to work with, he was kind, patient and responsive to our questions prior to arrival and was ever so gracious during our stay. If we were given the option to give this home 10 stars, we'd give it 11!

Comfortable and roomy.
The only thing that would have made our stay better was a foot of new snow. We had a fantastic week at Hunter's Crested Butte cabin. It was such a delight to return there after a day of skiing. The shuttle bus picked us up and dropped us off right in front of the house. We cooked many meals and enjoyed lounging around the roomy table and watching the olympics in the comfortable living room. The hot tub was glorious and much needed at the end of the day. Hunter was incredibly responsive and could not be easier to work with. I can't wait to return!!!
Loved our Ski Vacation in this house!
Our group of 5 loved our time at this house. The view! The hot tub! The heated floors! The fireplace! The punctual ski shuttle stopping at the house every half hour! The house was spotless, there was plenty of firewood, the layout was great and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated being able to store our skis, snowboards and boots in the garage overnight. If we were to come back to Crested Butte we would not hesitate to stay here again. It was a wonderful experience.
All that being said, I have 3 cautionary notes. First, even with four-wheel drive, our truck got stuck at the bottom of the icy driveway. Second, we were not provided with complete instructions for logging on to the internet. Third, (and probably most important) if your arrival day at this house is a Saturday or Sunday, there is no one (no owner, no agent, no management person) to assist you if you have an issue with the house. As it happens, we arrived at the house late on a Saturday afternoon to find that the driveway had not been plowed. We called the management company to inquire only to get a recording "our office hours are Monday through Friday 9 to 5." I would like to make a suggestion to the owner of this house to find a property manager that can always be available on "check in" day. I have rented houses in Colorado many times, in New Mexico, Wyoming, South Carolina, North Carolina, Vermont many times, New York, etc. Even though I have not had many problems through the years, it is most often on "arrival" day (after many hours on trains, planes and/or automobiles) that it is critical to have a person on standby in the event of an issue. For example - we arrived at a house once to find there was no power to the basement or first floor. Another time the key was not left in the designated location. In both of these instances the issue was quickly resolved to the agent who was on call to help.

As to your cautionary notes, all are well received, as is all constructive input from guests. We will meet with our property management company to address the icy drive, better and more accessible instructions on using the WiFi, and being more accessible to new arrivals even over holidays and weekends. PR Property Management does mention in its off-hours and weekend phone recording an emergency number to call, but your comment will prompt me to include it, as well as WiFi instructions, in the welcoming letter to all future guests.
