Three bedroom, two bathroom, WI-FI, split level; kitchen with adjoining dining room; comfortable living room; porch overlooking lawn area; washer-dryer; convenient location; car port by front door; Netflix.
The HOA private beach is a two minute walk down the driveway. The grocery store is a five minute walk; the post office, coffee shop, and pizza are across the street. The condo living area promises fun and entertainment with a game table, TV, and piano. The patio is a lovely place to sit and admire beautiful Lake Tahoe. A fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds provide a perfect vacation home. We are located a short walk from the Sugar Pine State Park. The Hellman-Ehrman Mansion is a nice walk or bike ride away. Hiking and boating opportunities abound on the west shore.
Our family was spread out and we wanted a place to all call home. This is the place where our hearts live.
Dorothy & Emmie Stenstedt purchased this condo in 1977
The Condo is on the lake side of Highway 89 so you don't need to cross the street to get to the beach. The Condo has modern comfort and forest and lake views. In the winter, the flat car access is great as it the carport. The Condo is 3 miles from Homewood Ski area and about a five minute walk from the State Park. It's perfect and we love it.
We have lived in Sweden, Belgium and Iran as well as California. We have accents around the condo from all of these places.
Loved the location and short walk to the private beach. While the condo is 40 years old, it is well maintained and fully furnished for a great vacation.
The condo was very clean, had everything we needed. The location is perfect. The small store down the street has everything you might need. The beach (rocky, but we knew this) is clean and there's a loading and unloading spot for kayaks. Bike path across the street is perfect. The condo had what I thought was a better than just a peak of the lake. The carport was convenient to put our bikes and beach stuff. If you order pizza across the street when its busy, plan on at least an hour. We can't wait to come back next year. Rented several homes in other places from this site and this was the best.
We loved the location and local conveniences. Perfect location for our family of three young boys.
Emmie and Dorothy's condo was clean and well-maintained. There were more stairs than we anticipated (it's a tri-level). There were many sweet touches from the homemade quilts on the beds to the historic information posted throughout the condo. There was even a nest with a momma bird and her babies outside the master bedroom window! We enjoyed our stay and Emmie was prompt in answering our questions and very gracious. The Fire Sign restaurant which was a 5 minute drive up the road (thank you, Emmie and Dorothy for leaving the menu in the kitchen drawer) had great food, service, and atmosphere. We would recommend this condo to other family members and friends.
Property is well-kept and equipped. Note that the slider lock does not work, and the locks on the windows are difficult to operate. But no problems resulted. Small children particularly like the bean bag chair.
My family had a wonderful time staying at this property. We took long walks along the private beach, swam in the pool and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants and deli.
It was like a home away from home.
TART runs buses from Truckee to south of us and more.
