About Charlene Bratcher

I, Charlene, have visited the Great Smoky Mountain National Park since I was a child. I introduced the mountains to my husband, Bruce and daughter, Ansleigh. We have vacationed in Gatlinburg, several times a year, for the last 13 years. During the last 5 years we have actively searched for a cabin. God blessed us with the perfect cabin and even a rental cabin in September, 2009. We were also blessed with jobs, I am a teacher and Bruce is working for with the National Park service. Our daughter loves her school. We have a boxer, Lily, who even loves the beautiful walks, and especially the wildlife. In 2010 we were blessed with another cabin 'Bear Paws'. 'Bear Paws' has a majestic view. See vrbo listing # 300489 Now we are able to offer our personal home as an overnight rental, due to the purchase of a larger home with ammenities for our guest. We are now proud to introduce our new cabin BEAR BLISS, which is a studio, private deck, but not hot-tub. It is directly beside the game room as an extension.

Charlene Bratcher purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Charlene Bratcher chose Sevierville

We chose the location of our rental, 'Bear BLISS', and our home, because of its close proximity to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We are minutes from Dollywood, dinner theatres, and other family oriented activities in Pigeon Forge. We are just as close to Gatlinburg, where we enjoy shopping, browsing and dining out. If you are looking for a more commercial area, Sevierville is equally as close, as this is where I work. There are hundreds of free activities in the Great Smoky Mountains

What makes this cabin unique

Our cabin is very unique because it is individualized for YOU. We want to share our happiness of owning the cabin, with YOU. We go the extra mile to insure a wonderful experience for YOU. The cabin will be personalized as YOU wish. If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion just contact me. I can have a birthday cake, balloons and the cabin decorated prior to your visit. For honeymooners, champagne, and roses can already be on the bed. If you want to surprise a special someone, a bed of roses would be so fragrant and beautiful. A snack basket or fruit basket can be waiting for you to enjoy upon arrival. If you are anxious to get to the cabin or too tired to stop for dinner, an assortment of breads, cheeses, and sandwich meats can be already in the cabin for you. Whatever YOU want for a meal, even a meal from your favorite restaurant. If you would just like dessert and coffee, that can also be available. Use your imagination, let me do the shopping and decorating for YOU. We want your experience in our cabin to be one that you will remember, and hopefully can become a tradition.

Sample Pricing: Dozen roses or mixed bouquet($40) Cake for any occasion ($35) Champagne ($35) Meat/cheese/bread/pickles/condiments/tray ($50) Fruit tray ($40) Decorated with banners/mylar balloons ($15) Mixed snack tray (ex: chips, cookies, crackers, dips, etc..)($30) dozen chocolate covered strawberries ($25) Fresh fragrant bed of rose petals ($20)

Beautiful views, friendly staff

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed ourselves at Bear Bliss cabin. Great views of Leconte from the pool, comfortable room that was spacious.

Preferred a Queen or King size bed but was still able to sleep well in full bed. Hadn't slept in a full since 1997 and I'm 6'3".

Game room was nice but for some reason air hockey table didn't work.

Nice and quiet, secluded spot from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge.

Staff was very nice and very accommodating to our requests.

Very pet friendly.

Jacuzzi tub had a small leak in drain so water had to be turned on every few minutes. Wasn't able to tell anyone as we checked out early.

Overall it was a wonderful experience and relaxing. Highly recommend it for a quick getaway. We plan to go back over winter break with family in bigger cabin. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the place.

We decided to take my grandson away for a trip close to home before school started back. We had to leave a little early because of a family medical problem but will definitly be returning. The couple that own this property are so easy to work with and so very sweet. My grandson feel in love with lily the owners dog to. He was so disappointed when we had to leave. This place and the owners are true gems.

Absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was very cozy and well kept. The views were amazing and staying at this location definitely allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle while still being close enough to anything you would want to go and see/do. Would definitely recommend to anyone and we can't wait to visit with them again!

Cute and peaceful

  • 4 of 5

Bruce was extremely helpful and the property was beautiful. I wish I had paid more attention to the fact that the bed was a full size. I haven't slept in a full size bed as an adult, much less shared one. I was glad the couch was there, but it took the romance out of the equation. I also neglected to read the fine print of this particular rental not having an outdoor hot tub. The indoor jacuzzi was really nice but it took forever to fill up and the water wasn't hot.
