About Helene Spitzer and Judy Clark
For 30 years we had the dream an ocean view presence. We looked at many properties. We had stayed here in previous years and considered it 'our beach house'. Little could we have known at the time that some day it would really be ours. When the Universe presented the opportunity and we were in a position to say 'YES!'. We are so in love with OurSandDollar.
Helene Spitzer and Judy Clark purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Helene Spitzer and Judy Clark chose Yachats
We have been traveling to this area for 30+ years. We had stayed many places, so good, some not so good. When we found OurSandDollar we fell in love with it. Years later when it became available for purchase we were at the right place at the right time! The rest is history.
What makes this Apartment unique
You will fall in love with the location. Wake up in the morning, sit with your coffee on the deck or simply take the short path to the private stairs to the beach and enjoy the wind swept beach. Very clean, cozy and has everything you need!
We will DEFINITELY be coming back!
Thank you Tiffany,
We will welcome you upon your return. We are glad to know you found everything you needed. It is a goal for us to provide such an environment. We are so happy we were able to make that happen. best regards, Judy
Roomy, clean home with a well stocked kitchen. Was in good condition and well kept. Good location.
Judy was very accommodating and was great to deal with. The home was in good condition and had a well stocked kitchen. Everything was clean. It was so nice to be so close to the ocean and the beach. Good view of the ocean from the home. There was so much to do in the area. Judy's home was quite central to the south or north coast of Oregon. Love Oregon. Would definitely recommend this home.
Always Wonderful ...
We don't want anyone else to find out about this gem of a house! This was our 3rd annual brother and sister-in-law get-a-way. From the rain to the beautiful parting clouds to the rainbow in the morning, it was great as usual. The home was comfy and clean and we WILL be back for the 4th annual that you can bet on!
Wonderful! The property is very wellkept and furnished . Sit in the living room and watch the tide.
The property is well situated with windows to the sea about 150 yards away. There is a roof blocking the middle view, but to the left and right is beautiful. There is a path to the beach with very nice steps, easy to navigate. The neighbors who were previous owners are very hospitable and fun to talk to.
The kitchen is well furnished and we cooked most of our meals there. The bedrooms are well furnished and the beds clean and fairly comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable.
We recommend this VRBO highly.
Great place, clean, comfortable and we'll stocked. Nice ocean view an easy beach access.
Great place with easy beach access. Nice uncrowded beach. Unit was clean and comfortable. Everything you could think of was supplied.
We didn't want to go home
We recently spent five nights here and it was wonderful. Everything was sparkling clean, with comfortable beds and furniture. (The hubs loved those leather recliner/ottomans and plans to get one for our home!) Yachats is centrally located on the Oregon coast and we explored from the Dunes to Lincoln City. We owned timeshare properties for many years so are used to condo vacation-living, but this unit was exceptional in the way it was stocked. We ate lunch out everyday, but otherwise ate breakfast and dinners in the condo. I'd start to look for a particular item and think "there is no way it will have that", but it did! I think the only thing I looked for and didn't find (not surprisingly) was scotch tape! This condo is not right on the beach but a short (and very pretty) walk there. But, when you are sitting in the living room and open the front window you can see and HEAR the ocean - so peaceful. The weather was overcast, a bit breezy and around 68 degrees - in other words "perfect". We drove back into our home town yesterday to 98 degrees and smoke. I want to go back.... In fact, we are already in the early planning stages of renting both upstairs and downstairs to enjoy next summer with extended family. Thank you so much Helene and Judy!
Thank you Cheri,
Indeed we do try to make this a home away from home. We are thrilled that you found it to be such a perfect place to be.
We hope you will return...and...we hope you tell others.
Again, thanks. Judy
Per wikapedia: Yachats is a small coastal city in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. According to Oregon Geographic Names, the name comes from the Siletz language, and means 'dark water at the foot of the mountain'. There is a range of differing etymologies, however. William Bright says the name comes from the Alsea placename. At the 2010 census, the city's population was 690. In 2007, Budget Travel magazine named Yachats one of the 'Ten Coolest Small Towns of the U.S.A.', and Yachats was chosen among the top 10 U.S. up-and-coming vacation destinations by Virtualtourist. In 2011, Arthur Frommer, founder of Frommer's Travel Guides, listed Yachats number seven among his ten favorite vacation destinations in the world. Oregon coast aquarium is 20 miles north of Yachats in Newport. Sea Lion Caves is in Florence 25 miles south of Yachats. Lighthouses at Heceta Head and Newport. Do not miss Cape Perpetua just 4 miles away with hiking, interpretive center, tide pools and spectacular views. Try you hand at crabbing from the dock or a boat (rentals at McKinley Marina in Waldport or at public dock). Dig for clams. Fly your kites! Storm watch. Beach comb.
