Our grandparents and parents loved the fishing, solitude and appreciation of nature. They fell in love with this area over 50 years ago. It offered us a chance to connect as a family without the demands of technology, a throwback to a more relaxed pace.
The best of both worlds - private secluded lake side recreation and the ability to easily two of Canada's premier cities, Ottawa and Montreal. Canada's capitol city. While there are 2 other properties on the lake, one is down at the end and not in view, a mile a way and the other, while closer is also obscured by trees and lush landscape. You can be as far away from civilization or as close to the action as you like' As a family we always treasured the quiet time of just playing without interruption from the hustle of day-to-day life.
Second year here and was even better than the first year. The swimming in your own lake is fabulous, the biking is hilly and the trails are super. Could stay here the whole summer!
Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our week vacation at Deer Lake cottage. From firewood to all the kitchen amenities to a caretaker who answered any questions, we were very pleased with all the services. The cottage had areas and activities for all our various ages, from a small beach to a dock to boats to fishing, and much more. We would definitely recommend it to our friends - except for wanting to keep such a great spot to ourslves for another year!
From the moment I entered the cottage and saw the main room, I new we had arrived in a special, loved and full of joyfull moments place.
Being in the kitchen with my sisters while preparing meals became a new favorite moments with fabulous lake view on both sides and the outstandingly equipped kitchen.
Even when it rained the cabin is roomy and it was as if each and everyone found a cozy spot to watch the day go by, relax and enjoy the peace of this private lake.
The cabin was very clean and everything that can be needed was provided. Also the attending staff was very attentive and friendly and it was obvious they appreciated this place very much as we did.
We would definitely re command or go back to this great cottage.
We had a family reunion with 18 people from 5 yr old to 70 coming from six different cities all over North America. We all had a lot of fun and laughter with wonderful swimming. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable with lots of linens and towels. Be prepared to relax and enjoy. There is a caretaker who removes the garbage and recyclables nearly every day. I highly recommend it!
We just spent an amazing week on Deer Lake. The place is perfect. We had 11 kids under 7 and they let some parents come. There was room to spread out. Room to sleep. Hammocks. Boats. Sauna for post bedtime. Everyone was in love with the place. And to be greeted by a tray of fresh muffins and the wonderful Thierry. We can't wait to come back!!
Really really really a beautiful place to stay at with your friends or familly!!! I was with 20 of my friends and we all had a great time there! Everything is there for you, from the BBQ, Canoes, Motor Boats, Hammocks, linens, towels and etc. Beautiful view from the deck in front or the back of the house, its quiet no neighbours around! If you want to have a great time with some friends or familly and enjoy your summer days while eating breakfast and lunch on the deck and enjoying your view this is really the place to be!!!!
