About the property

Enjoy the sunsets and bring your horses too!

Come ride in our beautiful mountains at Biltmore Estate or Dupont! Our lovely, farmhouse has the most beautiful mountain views and the constant babble of North Turkey Creek. We can accommodate 2 horses in safely fenced 60' by 200' paddock with a 3 sided shelter. Storage and parking for your truck, trailer and supplies is ample. The house is fully and tastefully furnished and is equipped; just bring your personal items and food for your stay. The cottage is located on the non-profit, Hope for Horses, grounds so you can meet our unwanted, yet rehabbing horses during your stay. There is a lovely deck to grill or relax on and the floor plan is open with lots of light.

We had a wonderful time! The home was warm and inviting. Our hosts thought of everything to have on hand in case the need arose. The scenery was breathtaking! So glad we saw this home on Home Away/VRBO! We will be back!

Wonderful place to get away

  • 5 of 5

We hated leaving! This place is a great way of visiting Asheville but escaping from the noise. It is in a beautiful bucolic setting where you can spend the evening watching fireflies light up against a mountain backdrop. We're already talking about how much we'd like to go back.

Great Space, respectful owners

  • 4 of 5

We had an amazing time sharing this space with the property owners. We were able to walk about and see beautiful horses and wildflowers, and listen to the creek! The internet was a little spotty, but the house had plenty of entertainment and was equipped with just about everything but food. There were even two beers in the fridge when we got there! Highly recommend this house for anyone that doesn't mind a little country quiet.

Bucolic retreat

  • 5 of 5

Sitting on the deck at night while watching fireflies dot the landscape and listening to the babbling of the creek was mesmerizing. Seeing turkeys scamper past the barn was a bonus! The house was clean and well-appointed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the towels were plentiful and plush. And it was an easy 30 minute drive into asheville.

We'll be back!

Wonderful Weekend Get Away

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 19 month old, two dogs and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It is nestled in a picturesque green valley that is littered with cows, chickens, and best of all, horses. Every morning and evening we walked the mile long drive way; so our little one could say "Hi!" to all of the horses and our dogs could get some fresh air. We then filled our days by taking the short drive into Asheville, just 25 minutes away, or exploring the great natural parks in the area. The farmhouse was super comfortable for all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was also extremely clean and the beds were super comfortable. Whitney and Lee were extremely hospitable, introduced themselves, then left us to our weekend. It was a truly fantastic weekend get away and we look forward to returning in the Fall for the changing season.
