About the property

Bedrooms 2, Bathroom 1, Sleeps 6

Come get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and stay on the North Shore where the real beauty is! This little 2 bedroom 1 bath second story unit has it's own access, it's own kitchen, access to laundry machines in the unit, and is in walking distance to your very own secluded beach just across the street. The unit gives you beautiful peek-a-boo ocean views from the deck and mountain views from the bedrooms. The house is located just off Kam hwy giving you easy access to the bus system if you choose to forego renting a car. This ideal location is just 6 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center and Laie Temple and only a 20-25 minute drive to famous beaches on the North Shore like Sunset, Pipeline, Waiamea Bay and Haleiwa.

The unit sleeps 6 comfortably with four beds.

We have a California King, Full, and two twins.

We have a pack and play available for an infant and a blow up mattress available upon request for additional guests. We also have beach chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkel gear and boogie boards you can use!

Not only are the beaches more beautiful on this side, but the food is great too! There are so many great places and or food trucks to eat at that are authentic and delicious! Other awesome places to try are, Giovanni Shrimp truck, Thai Food Express, Nelly's Taco's, Bob's BBQ corn, 7 Brothers, North Shore Tacos, Kahuku Grill, Opal Thai and many others!

If you want to experience the REAL Hawaii, this side is the place to do it!

About Elika Daley

My name is Elika and I am a mother of 6 very young kids. I am originally from Seattle and my husband is from Sebastopol California. We've lived here for over 16 years now and love it! My husband and I own a local construction company and we build, renovate, and flip homes. It's our love and passion!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We are a family of 6 and we loved staying here, it looks just like the pictures. The beach is just a 3 minute walk down the road and if you make a right on the beach there's a tire swing and a regular swing you can play on. There's only one a/c unit in the smaller bedroom, but that was fine for us because once you opened the windows there was a lovely breeze that cooled down the house. The wi-fi worked best in the living room and it was very spotty in the bedroom. The dryer wasn't working well at first and once we told Elika, her husband fixed it right away. There are roosters in the backyard and they will wake you up at 6:30 which is great because you're in HAWAII, you need to start your day as soon as possible! We only met Elika once and she is a very sweet and accommodating host. When we first walked in she had a list of places to eat that she recommended that was nearby. If my family ever goes back to Hawaii we will definitely stay there again!

Very Cozy home but extremely hot.

  • 4 of 5

This was our families first trip to Hawaii. We had no idea what to expect when we arrived. We pulled of the busy Kamehameha Hwy into a residential area to arrive at our cute little home for the week. It is across the 2 lane hwy and down about 3 houses on the right from the beautiful beach. Cozy and clean but extremely HOT. There's a window ac unit in a back bedroom with 2 twin beds. It doesn't cool the whole house down at all. There's plenty of fans but its an upstairs unit and gets barely any breeze from outside because of the direction the house is located. We weren't home much but when we were it was HOT. Plenty of room for our family and we felt safe and secure. Neighbors are all really nice, friendly and even sell plate lunches on the weekend. There wasn't an abundance of supplies so be prepared to bring your own. We ran out of paper towels the 2nd day and there was no more to be found. On the list on the wall Elika leaves you instructions for the home/washer and says there's 2 laundry pods for you to use. There was only one there for us. These are very small things when it comes to the review of the home. Overall it worked for us and we had the best vacation of our lives in Hawaii. This home is off the beat and path of touristy Waikiki. We loved to experience REAL Hawaii. It is about an hour drive into town but the drive is beautiful. If you stay here it is 6 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center which is a must do!!

Very clean and spacious

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our time spent here. If you want to tour the island its a great location. It's quiet and safe. The beach across the street is the nicest one we went to by far. The sand goes out a long way and it doesn't have such a drop off with a rocky bottom. The condo was clean and lots of room for 2 couples. Had everything we needed to enjoy out time on the island. The location made it perfect to tour both the North shore and Waikiki. Would definitely recommend this condo.

Location Close to PCC but Not Much Else

  • 3 of 5

Hawaiians love their fireworks, legal and otherwise, on New Years. Neighbors donated plenty under our window until 130 am. Otherwise, we enjoyed the large rooms and adequate kitchen plus the welcome gifts. Beach chairs and swim toys were a plus. Local beach was OK, but certainly not a destination.

Good getaway house

  • 4 of 5

This property is great for families. It's located close to all the best beaches and food trucks and away from touristy Waikiki! Great place if you want to explore the North Shore of Oahu. It's about a 1hr drive from Honolulu but the drive to the house is so scenic that the time just flew by. There's a supermarket a few minutes drive from the house but I would recommend buying most of your groceries at a Walmart or Costco. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be close to the North Shore!
