About Elika Daley

My name is Elika and I am a mother of 6 very young kids. I am originally from Seattle and my husband is from Sebastopol California. We've lived here for over 16 years now and love it! My husband and I own a local construction company and we build, renovate, and flip homes. It's our love and passion!

Elika Daley purchased this house in 2006

Guestbook comments from the owner

We are a family of 6 and we loved staying here, it looks just like the pictures. The beach is just a 3 minute walk down the road and if you make a right on the beach there's a tire swing and a regular swing you can play on. There's only one a/c unit in the smaller bedroom, but that was fine for us because once you opened the windows there was a lovely breeze that cooled down the house. The wi-fi worked best in the living room and it was very spotty in the bedroom. The dryer wasn't working well at first and once we told Elika, her husband fixed it right away. There are roosters in the backyard and they will wake you up at 6:30 which is great because you're in HAWAII, you need to start your day as soon as possible! We only met Elika once and she is a very sweet and accommodating host. When we first walked in she had a list of places to eat that she recommended that was nearby. If my family ever goes back to Hawaii we will definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Hauula, beautiful drive to the North Shore. It was very close to the BYU Hawaii campus as well as the temple and the PCC. We would recommend this unit to friends and would stay here again.

Good stay on a good location on the north shore of Oahu

  • 3 of 5

No real issue with the location. It is about 1 mile from local stores (.5 from 7-11) and 2.5 from the Polynesian Cultural Center. Be aware that in renting this, it is one of the upper units of a four-plex. The home its self was decent, but needs a good paint job, especially in the bedrooms. Also, the furniture in the living room is worn to the point its starting to fall apart. Home was well stocked and the layout was very nice. Owners are very helpful in the event that they are needed.

Perfect for what we needed

  • 4 of 5

We were in town for a wedding down the street, this was the closest house to the wedding site that would allow us to walk home after the party. We didn't spend a lot of time at the house as we were mostly where the wedding was but, the house was very clean and very nice. Loved the fresh fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Only minus was we were not able to get the wifi to work, we were not able to find the network. Thank you for a great stay!

Very Cozy home but extremely hot.

  • 4 of 5

This was our families first trip to Hawaii. We had no idea what to expect when we arrived. We pulled of the busy Kamehameha Hwy into a residential area to arrive at our cute little home for the week. It is across the 2 lane hwy and down about 3 houses on the right from the beautiful beach. Cozy and clean but extremely HOT. There's a window ac unit in a back bedroom with 2 twin beds. It doesn't cool the whole house down at all. There's plenty of fans but its an upstairs unit and gets barely any breeze from outside because of the direction the house is located. We weren't home much but when we were it was HOT. Plenty of room for our family and we felt safe and secure. Neighbors are all really nice, friendly and even sell plate lunches on the weekend. There wasn't an abundance of supplies so be prepared to bring your own. We ran out of paper towels the 2nd day and there was no more to be found. On the list on the wall Elika leaves you instructions for the home/washer and says there's 2 laundry pods for you to use. There was only one there for us. These are very small things when it comes to the review of the home. Overall it worked for us and we had the best vacation of our lives in Hawaii. This home is off the beat and path of touristy Waikiki. We loved to experience REAL Hawaii. It is about an hour drive into town but the drive is beautiful. If you stay here it is 6 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center which is a must do!!

Very clean and spacious

We enjoyed our time spent here. If you want to tour the island its a great location. It's quiet and safe. The beach across the street is the nicest one we went to by far. The sand goes out a long way and it doesn't have such a drop off with a rocky bottom. The condo was clean and lots of room for 2 couples. Had everything we needed to enjoy out time on the island. The location made it perfect to tour both the North shore and Waikiki. Would definitely recommend this condo.
