About Susan or Jimmy Snow
Jimmy and I moved to Wilbarger Point, after searching for the perfect 'old house'. We have spent hours and hours giving the property the tender loving care it needed to bring it back to life. Susan is a retired elementary school teacher and Jimmy recently retired, after 41 years with the electric company. Our priorities are Faith, Family, and Friends. We love spending time with our family/ grand-kids, gardening, hunting, fishing, sewing, quilting, smocking, cooking, and canning. Our two children, Corrie and Josh, both graduated from Texas A & M. Their spouses also graduated from Texas A & M. We love living in Georgetown and are thrilled with the opportunity to share our place with others.
Susan or Jimmy Snow purchased this Chateau / Country House in 1995
Why Susan or Jimmy Snow chose Georgetown
We both have always loved old houses and old things. When we moved to Georgetown, the historical properties always charmed us. We fell in love with San Gabriel park and spent many hours there when our kids were younger. When we learned of the Jesse Cooper House, we spent several years trying to make it ours. When the timing was right, it happened and we have been blessed to live here.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
From the hill, we have a wonderful view of the sunsets and sunrises. There is always a breeze. You get the feel of being out in the country, but also the luxury of being close to town.

Great Little House
We have stayed at many VRBO rentals and overall this was as good if not better than any of the others we have stayed at. It is spacious, comfortable and quiet. A very attractive living space with everything you could need. Never met Susan, she was out of town, but had several enjoyable talks with Jimmy. Definitely the place to stay if you are in the area.

This is a MUST stay!!!
The cottage was cozy yet roomy. We had 4 adults and 1 toddler. The bedroom was very spacious as was the combination living room & kitchen area. These folks have thought of everything for a weary traveler. Lots of coffee (even flavored coffee), ziploc bags, cases of bottled water, plenty of shampoos and body washes and body lotions for the whole family. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. The kitchen was amply stocked with dishes and cookware. The laundry room had a washer and dryer with a table for folding clothes. There was plenty of closet space complete with hangers. The view was awesome and the location was secluded even though there were other houses nearby. The adults and toddler were entertained with the use of the trampoline, swing set and a "homemade" see-saw. We all had a great time and enjoyed the activities we had planned in nearby Georgetown and Round Rock. We will definitely be staying here again!!! Thank you for a great time. Oh, and did I tell you how clean the cottage was????? Immaculate is the word I would use. We felt very at home.
Thank you for your kind words. Your description of our cottage is exactly what we hope it will provide for our guests. We hope to see you again!
I’d bring my family back here anytime.
What a clean, organized, and well-stocked house this was! The cleanliness was never in question, you can tell it’s been taken care of quite well. The owner was very responsive when we had questions. The area itself was just the right distance into the country and yet near the town. Would recommend to anyone!
Thank you for your kind words. We’re happy that we could provide a good place for your family to stay.

Nice and quiet and away from the city. Has a cozy feeling with everything you need inside. Also has a storm cellar in case of an emergency. Mr. and Mrs. Snow are very nice people and I would recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you for your kind words. We’re glad that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage. Blessings on your new family member!
Great little cottage
We spent two nights here in January 2018 and it suited our needs perfectly. An updated, well kept, well stocked and clean one bedroom with all the amenities you would ever need. Susan even went above and beyond to honor an out of the ordinary request as well as having ice water in a bowl for our pup when we arrived.
The location is great with easy access to both 130 and I-35 so that you can quick get to Roundrock, Austin, Leander and Liberty Hill. It is very close to downtown Georgetown, where there are some excellent local restaurants and one really awesome coffee shop.
We stayed there in preparation for a move to the area so for us we may not have a need to return, but we will definitely recommend it to friends coming to the area. A really great value.
Thank you for choosing our cottage and for your kind words! We didn’t get a chance to meet you but since you will soon live here, maybe we can meet. Blessings on your new home in our wonderful city of Georgetown!
Relaxing country get away
It was so nice to have a place to call "home" while we were visiting the Georgetown area. Susan and Jimmy are terrific hosts.
The city of Georgetown has much to offer. The square has live entertainment, restaurants, shopping, and wineries. The San Gabriel Park is amazing. We think that Georgetown has the best Mexican food in the area, and that is at Dos Salsa (you will probably see us there.) We are close to great shopping at the outlet mall in Round rock. The hill country isn't far, and, of course, Austin is full of things to do.
