Mahalo for your interest in our Anahola Bay Cottage located on the island of Kauai (TVNCU #1199). The entire unit includes 4 bedrooms, 2 bath including a private studio on 1/3 acre steps away from a crescent shaped white sandy beach. Property is perfect to sleep 6 to 8. Large backyard, horseshoes, fire pit, ample outdoor seating area.
Located off a sandy beach road, 60 yards from the beach, guests will find the cottage at Anahola Bay to be the perfect location for body boarding, surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking. The Bay also features a large reef protected area for snorkeling, fishing or just a swim. A short walk down the beach line, is Aliomanu river that runs into the Bay. Kids will love this cottage because of its rural location and room to run, and adults will love it for its convenient location to local eateries and shopping, yet distant proximity to neighbors and its quiet peacefulness.
Our beach cottage is an older home, well maintained and beautifully furnished, includes linens and towels, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, cable TV and internet. It is also fully stocked with surfboards, boogie boards and beach toys for the kids! Less than a block away from the beach cottage is a public park complete with soccer field, basketball court and playground.
Anahola village is approximately 13 miles North of the Lihue Airport and a short 7 miles North of Kapaa where there is plenty of shopping and amazing restaurants. Anahola post office and a small convenience store is located less than a mile from the cottage.
If you are looking for an authentic Hawaiian hideaway place to enjoy family, relax in a low-key beach neighborhood over the bustle of hotels or condos, enjoy sunrises and sunsets at the beach, and love the beauty of the ocean and fun of water activities, this is the vacation rental for you. Adjacent to the Anahola Beach Cottage is a fully equipped high end nonprofit campground where weddings, family reunions and special events can be held. We recommend renting a beachfront bungalow at the campground. Its simply the best way to spend the day or night at the beach!
We hope you enjoy your stay, find relaxation and create great memories on Kauai no matter where you decide to stay!

Robin Eisenhour purchased this house in 2014
The Anahola Bay Cottage is a very special home, in the old plantation style and very reminiscent of Old Hawaii. New to vacation rentals, our family acquired the cottage in May 2014 to share the beauty of the Bay with other families, visitors, malahini and kamaaina alike!
Anahola Beach Cottage is set in a quiet village beach neighborhood on the northeast shores of Kauai. It is a beautiful plantation style home with serenity and local feel. We fell in love with the cottage for its authenticity and the incredible beauty and privacy of Anahola Bay.
Our Family of 8 stayed at the Anahola Beach Cottage, and it was the perfect location for our relatives from Alaska. Our Wedding was held right across the street at the beach, such a beautiful location. The Cottage owners were ever helpful in making sure our stay was extraordinary! Everything we could ever need was available.
We had a group of 8 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house comes well stocked and has a big back yard with outdoor shower, surf, paddle and boogie boards and a kayak. It is just steps away from a beautiful beach with great waves for boogie boarding. The house felt secluded but we were only 10 minutes’ drive away from a grocery store. All together just a wonderful play to stay!
We absolutely love the Anahola house. It's proximity to the beach allows easy walks to the beach with morning coffee, watching sunrises or sunsets, or even a quick boogie board session before dinner! We all hung out in the covered outdoor lanai, complete with tiki torch type lanterns for bug deterrence (really not an issue b/c the place is close enough to the beach that the winds are a constant presence) and ambiance. Horseshoe pit, snorkeling gear, kayak, paddle board all get used frequently and leave the visitor well prepared to engage in many outdoor activities without the added expense of renting equipment. (We left a few boogie boards for the future occupants to use). Owners very responsive when grill ran out of gas so we still got to cook dinner that night, and the full kitchen really allows a family style dinner, again saving money avoiding eating out all the time. We love your place, and will definitely be back!!!

Wow! We have planned this trip for over two years and it was a beautiful time with our family. The house location was perfect as it is located just steps from the beach. We loved the beach bungalow and someone from our family slept in it almost every night. I enjoyed a solo kayak ride up the river and chatted with the local crab fisherman. We joined in with the neighbors and had a beach fire one night roasting marshmallows. The house was spacious enough for our family of 8 to eat around the dining table. We enjoyed gecko watching too...cute 1"critters eating bugs. Thank you Robin for sharing your beautiful home. Mahalo.
Sweet cottage one house in from the gorgeous Anahola Bay, congenial yard with outdoor shower, surf, paddle and boogie boards and kayak, great kitchen, outdoor grill, native Hawaiian art! Robin was wonderful! Only downsides: mosquitoes at night, one too soft bed....but the aloha spirit quelled those! Gorgeous location on the island for being far from bustle, but accessible to everything.
We especially enjoyed the large yard with the canopy & furniture for morning visits over coffee. I personally enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with the crockpot! What a perfect way to play all day & then have home cooked family dinner at home! Each of our family had their own room, yet plenty of room to gather in the dining room & living room. Many of us found retreating to the bungalow for afternoon air conditioning, naps & reading worked well in the steamy mid-afternoons. The rest of us toured the island thoroughly in our rental cars. We really enjoyed buying bananas from the neighbor "banana stand" on the way home. They were delicious! Another favorite routine was our morning walks on Anahola Beach picking up trash & enjoying sunrises. We really felt like a part of the community, yet we had plenty of quiet privacy. But, be ready for the rooster families! Lots of fun to watch in the mornings. Along with the red headed cardinals. And in the evenings, we saw the island toads proud & hunting bugs. The extra special feature to our stay was being able to use the tentalo at the campground next door. It certainly gave us the extra space for our unexpected family members who joined the trip! Thanks again for making our Mom's 80th birthday so special! We could not have done it without you! Mahalo!!
We had a group of 8 and the house was comfortable for all with great outdoor space. The house was clean, comfortable and had enough plates, towels, space for everyone. Small dining table inside, but we carried through into the living room and all visited together. Easy access to main road to drive north or south/west; grocery shopping just 10+ minutes away. BTW, the little market near the post office had great poke, make sure to pick some up if you're eating local food. We'll be back for sure.
Anahola is a mostly Native Hawaiian village, and in ancient times was a hub for fishing and small farms.
