A great get away
The home has the charm of an old farmhouse but the comfort of modern upgrades. Such a relaxing weekend, we spent our evenings on the porch enjoying the quite and watching the most amazing sunsets! We will return!
Great space for our extended family visiting for wedding.
The house was a long drive from wedding site but it allowed us to have a lot of family time together. The 2 year old loved wa;king the road and looking at the cows and tractors. Enough bathrooms for everyone to get ready for wedding.
The Historic grand Farmhouse was all and more than we had hoped for! Thank you for sharing your home, Dirk and Kenna!
My family had a great time in this home. The setting is very peaceful and the home accommodates a large party. My family really enjoyed the maps and charts of the history of the farmhouse.
A wonderful OLD house
First, let me say that we enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again. There is so much to love about this house from the huge kitchen, to the beautiful architecture, to the gorgeous master suite and the secluded countryside. You are close to Dayton, Springfield and tons of nature/bike trails. It was a great stay.
One warning, it is a 100 year old home. The floors and stairs creak. Not all the doors fully close. Sometimes the lights flicker. All that to say that we had three small children who had some trouble sleeping because of the noise, lack of blinds, and unclosed doors. We would stay again, but probably not the best home for families with small kids.
Quaint and Quiet
Our family loved staying here... Brought back memories to my father of growing up on a farm in Western Kansas. The old fashioned passenger train passing along the driveway was fascinating! Very quiet and peaceful location but had everything we needed or wanted. Dirk was very responsive with any questions we had. Thank you for entrusting your historic family gem with us!
Centrally located between Dayton and Columbus and approximately 10 minutes from the Clark county fairgrounds.
