The apartment was so convenient to everything you'd want--restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and entertainment. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was adequate, and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. A minor repair was taken care of promptly and with little disruption. We were so much happier in this area of town than we would have been downtown--the reviews did not let us down!
It is clean, spacious, well located--it can't be any better. I already miss this beautiful Portland home and plan to return.
We really did feel like honorary Portland residents during our stay. The first floor unit is spacious and equipped with everything we needed [once I bought rabbit ears for the TV :^)] We were there in August, and we spent a fair amount of time enjoying the front porch and the garden area with picnic table in the back. The neighbors upstairs and on both sides are great. The best thing is the location. Where else in the world can you easily walk to so many great restaurants and cafes, hipster shops, grocery stores, parks, etc?
This beautiful home is where is stayed during a travel assignment here in portland. The place was well decorated. It was so comfortable and definitely felt like home during my time there. Zach and Tamar are helpful and easy to get a hold of of.
We chose this apartment for the location, it was perfect and we enjoyed our 2 week stay. We were in Portland to spend Christmas holidays with our adult offspring, so most days we were out and about. The one glitch that came up was addressed immediately by Zac and Tamar, which we really appreciated. The upstairs tenants were very quiet.
The apartment living area is very spacious with a good size dining table, we were even able to have some of our family (8) there for a dinner one night. Nice flat screen with cable options for movies too. Happy that the mattress was super comfortable as well. Thanks for offering such a nice place.
My wife and I moved to Portland for work. We did not have a permanent place to stay, so we thought we would try a vacation rental by owner for the month of July. We did not know the area at all, but this seemed like an affordable place. It is definitely worth the money. I think it would be pretty tight to have 4 people stay here, but it was perfect for my wife and I. The shower is a bit fickle with the temperature (it gets HOT easily), but has great pressure. The upstairs tenants (who are both really nice) have a car, but it still fit an 08 Civic and an 08 ford Escape without problem in the back. It may not be as fancy as the Four Seasons hotel, but it had everything that we needed. If we needed something, Zac and Tamar were great at being prompt and bringing it over ASAP (very much impressed as they said this was their first time doing this). The front porch is still a work in progress (they are renovating it), but it serves its purpose and has a few nice chairs to sit in.
It is an amazing location! It is quiet and family friendly. The number 14 bus runs up and down Hawthorne Blvd (there is a bust stop about 1 block away) all day, so it is super easy to get in to the center of Portland (and the buses are clean, so that is a plus too). It is also convenient to a couple other buses if you need to get to OHSU. There are 3 main supermarkets easily in walking distance. Tons of great restaurants of all different ethnicities. A bunch of boutique shopping, barbers, hair dressers, auto repair, and numerous walking/biking parks nearby. It is about 8 minutes to get to I5, but easy to do so.
