Looking back on our terrific summer vacation, our stay at the little yellow cabin was an experience we will always treasure. It fit our needs perfectly. The owners are lovely, responsive, and their aesthetic, we greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us make memories we will carry for a life time.
Marc was very easy to work with. He answered all my questions quickly. The cabin is in a beautiful location. I can't begin to describe how majestic it was to sit by the fire watching the sun set and the stars come out.
The cabin is basic, yet had everything we needed. It was VERY clean and well kept. The only bad thing was, that we had to leave. I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing time to get away from everything. We had no cell phone receotion, so it made it easy to get unplugged for a few days. We look forward to our next trip.
This is a great little cottage and the owners are really fine people. They meet you at the cottage to give you the keys and make you feel welcome. Before we left, we received our deposit refund from the owner in cash! If preparing meals is important, the kitchen is (as advertised) only for very basic cooking; but, if the weather is nice you can grill out and the owner provides the charcoal. The Keweenaw area is a great vacation destination. Be sure to sample the Lake Superior whitefish and lake trout served at local restaurants and explore local history at the Keweenaw National Historic Park in Calumet. For rock hounds, the beach in front of the cottage is a good place to do the "Keweenaw Stoop" but there is plenty of sandy beach to enjoy as well. We had a great vacation and look forward to returning to the Copper Country.
We enjoyed a couple days as this exceptionally clean and quaint cottage. Fun to walk the beach or just sit on the deck and enjoy the lake. Had a good time in Calumet - best ever pasties.
My kids and I loved the cottage, super clean and adorable. The beach is as good or better than the pictures show. I will definitely consider staying there again if we decide to go back to MI. We really enjoyed the beach and the sights up the coast. The only negatives I would say about the cottage is that it has pretty low ceilings in the kitchen, I'm tall and had to duck in some areas so it might not work well for everyone but it was worth it for us!
On Lake Superior six miles from Calumet. A quiet location yet provides easy access to the area.
