Overall we had a great time...
Fantastic! The house was wondeful, so nice!!
The only thing was there was no beachfront the high tide was so high that there was no where to play on the beach But the house was super fantastic and beautiful !! Completely enjoyed the atmosphere !! Thank you !
enjoying the beach.
We enjoyed our stay at the beach, especially the location & mostly the view. We were generally very comfortable. There was plenty of room and the children had a great time. The reasons we gave it three stars are the following: 1-the A/C didn't work, although we were told that when we checked in. It was very stuffy & humid & we had to buy fans to circulate the air throughout the house. 2- The ice machine didn't work. 3-In the kitchen, there were not enough utensils needed to cook some meals. The caulking around the sink was black and not sealed. When we tried to wash it, water leaked all over the floor. 4-Bathrooms; very poor water pressure in the large shower. The sink in the small bathroom was clogged and not usable for the whole visit, despite calling the property owner. 5-The entire m/b smelled like old mold in the carpet. One of the 3 fans we purchased was kept on all the time to try and make the odor bearable.
Despite the above problems we enjoyed our stay and especially the view.
A vacation in paradise!
My family declared their recent week at the Tiki Cottage a "vacation in paradise." The ocean-front location was ideal for Colorado landlubbers. The home was creatively — and beautifully — decorated. The landscaped back yard with its spacious terrace was the favorite spot for watching the waves and for grilling on the most attractive barbecue unit I have ever seen. Laundry rooms seldom warrant comments, but the one in the Tiki Cottage was an exception. It even included its own TV set! Add all this to the graciousness of Joseph Perez, the owner, and you do indeed have the makings of a "vacation in paradise."
Great beach house
Great vacation at the tiki house. Very nice and responsive owner. Will definitely come back!
Nice ocean view
Nice place on the beach and confortable unfortunately the beach off the property is mostly rocks and if you plan on getting any sleep at night there was never any mention of the Amtrak train that runs behind the house everyday and every night. So needless to say for the amount of money we paid this was very disappointing especially when we brought our dad who's 80 years old and was not able to open the door to listen to the ocean since the trains run pretty much all night.
The Capistrano Beach area is minutes away from the historic mission in San Juan Capistrano
