About Carol Tsacoyeanes

We are a family that lives in Connecticut. Our children grew up going to our cottage in Cotuit in the summer. It holds a special place in our hearts and since renovating the cottage into Cape Escape over the past two years, we are willing to share our home with those looking for a vacation retreat and a chance to 'unplug' from the current fast-paced, technologically driven lives that most tend to lead.

Carol Tsacoyeanes purchased this cottage in 1987

What makes this cottage unique

We appreciate the close proximity of our home to Cotuit Village and the beaches. The ocean breezes are delightful as you relax on our screened in porch or turn on the house fan and let the fresh air in through the windows. We sleep soundly and better, then wake up refreshed and ready to explore and enjoy our vacation time.

Just what we wanted

  • 5 of 5

It is what we were exaxtly looking for. A nice, fairly private house that was the perfect distance from the things we wanted to do. Was even able to work with us when we decided we wanted to stay an extra night and was able to accommodate it quickly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

Satisfying week in Cotuit

  • 5 of 5

I have been going to Cotuit since 1972 and is our first choice for a quiet vacation. It is close enough to walk to the compact village center (great library, the Coop-general store-and ball park-maybe a 20 minute walk) and easy to find. My teenagers and I brought our bikes and the local beaches were a five minute ride away. Beach parking is easy with the landlord bus pass. The backyard at the property is huge and my kids enjoyed playing soccer and lounging on the hammock. Fantastic outdoor shower-a must for any rental-and the screened in porch was perfect for watching the family of turkeys and lots of rabbits wandering about the yard. The layout of the house allowed us to have some privacy if needed for reading and we ate all of our meals out there. The king size pull out bed was not comfortable, my only negative comment, however, if we are able to rent again next summer, I will bring a mattress topper from home which will do the trick. The landlord was extremely pleasant to work with and I had great confidence that if there had been any issues they would have been handled promptly.

A great cottage in a lovely area

  • 5 of 5

My family and I very much enjoyed our time at this house. It was well-equipped and neatly maintained. A large garden for the children and good-sized kitchen.

The area is smart, with beautiful houses nearby and local beaches (the access pass to the 'locals' beaches is particularly good). Within easy enough reach of the main highways to go to other parts of Cape Cod.

The owner was very helpful in booking arrangements, and also sorting out a problem with the internet/TV when we got there (caused by a storm) - although away from the property she dealt with it very promptly and cheerfully. Clearly she wants all her guests to have a happy time!

I would thoroughly recommend the place.

Lovely Cottage in a Charming Town

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time and enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful screened in porch and cooking in the sun-light flooded kitchen. The kitchen, porch and other areas have been beautifully renovated and are like new. Met local friends for Cotuit Kettleers baseball up close and personal. We were close enough for our daughter to hear the banter between the first base coach and the runner. We enjoyed all the beaches -- mostly by walking for great exercise although we did use the beach pass provided on two occasions. My husband and daughter successfully swam the channel at the town beach. Reliable internet and cable TV.

Cotuit Cottage - perfect for family time

  • 5 of 5

We loved our week in Cotuit this past summer and enjoyed it so much we came back for Columbus Day weekend. The Cottage is cozy and makes for a relaxing vacation for the entire family. We played games on the screened in porch, read on the hammock and enjoyed all the local beaches and activities. Close to great shopping and restaurants as well as many local beaches. Walking into Cotuit Village for breakfast is a must.
