Amazing stay, great location, excellent experience!

First time renting through Vrbo and Dave (the owner) made it really easy!the log cabin was great making for an authentic up north experience.really enjoyed listening to the record player over some coffee and a fire! There is a furnace and pellet stove which made for a warm night even though it got down to - 27 degrees! The cabin is right on a trail 25 min from town on the sleds and extremely close to the deer lodge and the gateway. Wouldn't change a thing.can't wait to book again over summer! Thank you Dave!

Nice cabin at a gorgeous setting

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is great place to stay for a cross country ski vacation. Plenty of room in the cabin and plenty warm even though the temps dipped to -15 a couple of mornings. View from the porch (where we ate) out over the frozen lake/river is great. Saw numerous deer and one pileated. Owner is great to deal with and responsive to questions or concerns.

Wonderful rustic atmosphere with great views of the water.

My sister and I had a wonderful time despite mother nature. The view from the dining table was gorgeous. Autumn was showing its colors along the river. Exploring waterfalls, kayaking, canoeing and fishing were some of the many activities we enjoyed. We hope to be back next year for another retreat.

My favorite summer tradition!

This is the 3rd year that we have stayed at this wonderful cabin and we will definitely be back. The mixture of modern amenities with the rustic charm and of course the beautiful lake make it unforgettable!

Just what my family needed

  • 4 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. The lake was so peaceful and my kids loved fishing off of the pier and taking rides in the kayaks and pedal boat. Eating meals looking out at the lake was wonderful. We saw some eagles, loons, raccoons and ducks while staying there. Ate pizza at the Dear Lodge one night, delicious. My husband loved the LP collection that was in the cabin. Only thing I would suggest is the cabin needs some curtains.
