Perfect for our son's graduation wknd!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for our son's graduation wknd at UMD. We loved the house. It was clean, modern and had all the amenities that we were looking for. While we were at the home, we spent most of our time on the kitchen level (second floor). We loved the big windows, open floor plan and the kitchen table! The roof deck was a bonus - a nice spot to have our coffee in the morning, and unwind at night time. The bedrooms are on the 3rd and 4th level - so you must be willing to go up and down plenty of steps. (We loved the exercise)!! **We did have a bit of trouble initially finding the specific property. Our GPS was not a big help for some reason** We liked the location - it was right across the street from one of our favorite spots - Bus Boys and Poets. There are quite a few chain restaurants close by too. There's also a small grocery store to pick up any supplies you may need. Very convenient!! Faith was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great weekend!!

Fantastic Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for a week while visiting Washington DC. The home was VERY clean and felt very homey. This property does have a attached garage and we were able to get our Kia van into the garage. The only drawback I saw was that it has a lot of stairs. It is a four level home with the bedrooms being located on the third and fourth levels. If you have trouble climbing stairs, this home would not be ideal for you. This property is located by food establishments that are only a block away. The metro train station is not within walking distance, but it is only about a 5 to 7 minute drive. Parking is free in the metro parking lot on weekends. We felt very safe using this train station. Overall, I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a place to stay outside of DC. If we had a question, Faith got back to us immediately. She was very nice to work with and always very helpful. If we come back to DC, I would definitely consider renting this property again.

Nice and good location

  • 5 of 5

We decided on this rental and location because we had to go to Laurel MD for an ice skating competition and we also wanted to visit lots of sights in Washington DC. It is perfect for that kind of a trip and also close to the U of Maryland so lots of choices (mostly driving distance) for food. We stayed from 6/21-27 party of 4 adults with 3 teens. We drove from Central Texas.

Great available and responsive owner. It is very new and clean and I am sure owner will continue to upgrade this great place. I would absolutely rent this place again! Be ready for lots of stairs (4 stories). I was glad my elderly mother (80s) didn't come on this trip. We had fun with it and got lots of exercise.

I am going to give a very descriptive review because it would have been nice to be more prepared and bring a few things from home.

The lowest floor has the small garage but we got our Suburban in there every night--parking is a bit difficult to find in the area. That floor also has a small entrance area.

The 2nd floor was nice for hanging out, eating, watching TV. The kitchen is nice but there were not a lot of utensils so we washed a lot of dishes in a very nice dishwasher and a nice refrigerator. The couch was comfy but not a sofa bed.

The 3rd floor has two bedrooms and full bath with double sinks. One bedroom had an ok full size bed (comfy for one adult), the other had two “bean” chairs that doubled as twin mattresses only comfy if you are a kid (9 or under) and a firm inflatable full size bed. Also has a very nice stackable washer/dryer.

The 4th floor master bedroom was very nice and had a queen size bed and full bath with a pretty deck.

The neighborhood is very nice and diverse. Favorite place to eat was around the corner Cafe Azul-- get the cachapas con queso and the arepa "reina pepiada." The Yes! Market was walking distance. New Safeway just opened on East West Hwy (1.7 miles). Siri (my iPhone) was acting a bit wacky and sent me to one 4.7 miles away (not good) so make sure you go to that Safeway! It is in a brand new shopping center that has a Regal movie theatre, a Pollo Campero (yum) and many other nice places to eat.

When you are staying for a week , it is nice to hang up your clothes. Closets were full and there was only a standalone hanging closet in the master bedroom. We all lived out of our suitcases. There is no cable/sat TV but plenty of streaming services available and a DVD player. Good internet.

Very enjoyable!

Wonderful Place & Ideal Location

  • 5 of 5

Great central location for our week long stay traveling to DC, Baltimore & Annapolis. We loved the area - so nice to see how much it has changed in the last ten years! Lots of places to go eat within walking distance. Beautiful Yes! Organic Market if you want to do your own cooking. Very spacious 3 bedroom 2.5 bath with modern decor and electronics. Lots of stairs... no need to go to the gym to work out=) It was nice to have a garage for parking, but make sure you have a small to mid-size rental car, a large SUV would not fit.

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

I came with friends and young children. Bedrooms are well spaced and quiet to accommodate different bedtimes. Lots of stairs but place was clean and open. We would come again. Metro is an easy drive with plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants right out the front door that fit any budget. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful.
