  • 4 of 5

Great Easter weekend in DC with our gang if eight! Kids loved the levels of the house and the adults loved the roof deck! Has everything you need for a great weekend... quick 3 minute drive to Metro station and 2 minute walk to lots of options for food and drink!

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

I came with friends and young children. Bedrooms are well spaced and quiet to accommodate different bedtimes. Lots of stairs but place was clean and open. We would come again. Metro is an easy drive with plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants right out the front door that fit any budget. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful.

Great Property - Very Clean and Modern

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week here with 5 adults and two teenage girls. The house was very clean with top end modern appliances, great air conditioning, washer/dryer, and beautiful hardwood floors. It was spacious enough that never felt crowded.

The main floor has very nice layout for sitting around, eating, watching TV. The kitchen is nice but hard for multiple people to be working in at the same time. The dishwasher has a preloaded soap dispenser that is awesome. There are not a lot of utensils, so the dishwasher needed to be run often. There are no dish towels so be sure to bring lots of paper towels.

The downstairs heavy duty full size air mattress was inflated and comfortable. The second floor has two bedrooms and a double sink full bath. One bedroom had an ok full size bed, the other had two “bean” chairs that doubled as twin mattresses. Our girls are not very tall and they did not care for the beds very much. They were too short and too firm. The third floor master bedroom was very nice and had a queen size bed and full bath. There are 31 stairs to go from the main floor to the top floor.

The neighborhood was nice, the Yes! Market was very close and handy to have there, a new Safeway just opened which is about a five minute drive away. There is a brew pub within a ten minute walk as well. It was a 20 minute drive to DC without traffic, about 35 minutes to get back with traffic. The train station is a short drive away, I did not see where we could walk to a station.

The closets were not available for use. When you are staying for a week, it is nice to hang up your clothes. All of the closets were full of stuff. There was a standalone hanging closet in the master bedroom, but everyone else had to live out of their suitcases. It would have been nice to have a vacuum cleaner for the floors, but we were only able to find a broom and dustpan. The TV controls are a bit confusing, luckily we are tech savvy, but others may have some difficulty. There is no cable/sat TV, but plenty of streaming services available and a DVD player.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Girls' Weekend in DC

  • 4 of 5

I contacted Faith about renting her condo for a get-together for a friend's upcoming wedding. Faith was courteous, easy to communicate with, and tidy. The facilities were great, and we loved our sunny afternoon on the roof deck. The number of bathrooms made it easy for the 7 of us to get ready every day; not an easy task! I was only disappointed in the amount of dishware and sleeping arrangements. The third bedroom is an air mattress on the drafty first level, so we ending up hauling it upstairs to the purple lounge. Then, we ended up using plastic cups and paper plates all weekend because there were too few dishes. I never figured out how to work the sound system, but it looked like a great set-up! Overall, the experience was a good one. The condo is beautiful with lots of light and space. The kitchen is spacious and has a great stove, too!

Owner's Response: Brittany, I am glad you had a great weekend. Thanks for the feedback as I will make it clearer to guests in the future the lounge chair pillows come off and they actually make the third bedroom. I provided linens so that it could be used either as a lounge or fully pulled off the base as a mattress. The air mattress is extra just in case. Hope you will stay again if you are in the area.
