About Eesha

My mother was born and raised on Oahu and I have lived here since 1988. I have always loved Waimanalo and think it has one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

Eesha purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Eesha chose East Oahu

We love the location so close to a great beach. It is a clean uncrowded beach with stunning azure waves that are fun for the kids. Grandma appreciates the afternoon shade of the ironwood trees. We come on weekends and share it with visiting family and friends. The views of the Ko'olaus are breathtaking.

What makes this cottage unique

Stand alone cottage, private, close walk to beach. Wifi but no TV.

Everything you need

  • 4 of 5

We stayed 6 nights and we really loved the area. Waimanalo is a great place to visit and is very convenient for getting to any place in Oahu. The local restaurants are really great too (especially Serg's).

The property is very simple but has everything you would need including comfortable beds, closet/drawers, full bathroom, well stocked kitchen (no oven, no dishwasher), free washer/dryer, beach equipment, etc. There were fruit and snacks to welcome us and the fridge already has some staples in there. No TV but we were not in Hawaii to be watching TV!

The kids loved roaming in the backyard looking for lizards. Quick walk to the beach or you could drive to any number of beaches close by. And restaurants are walking distance.

We did see some evidence of mice so we washed everything before we used it and didn't leave any food out (good practice anyway). It didn't create a problem for us but some people may take issue with that.

Would recommend this place to those looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay away from the busy-ness of Waikiki but not remote.

Easy Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

This is my second time at the property and I really like it. It is clean, spacious and everything that I need is there. It is a short walk to the beach and quiet. I'm planning on coming back this summer.

Everything you need for your stay and a short walk to the prettiest beach on O'ahu

  • 4 of 5

Great communication with owner. Called us with info the day before we arrived.

Comfortable bedroom. Kitchen was perfect for what we needed. One minor downside of the bathroom not being entirely private (sliding door).

We had access to beach equipment and grill during our stay, which came in handy. If it hadn't been so windy and wavy, we would have definitely used the kayaks.

Neighborhood fairly quiet during the day, but a couple nights during our stay the neighbors seemed to party fairly late.

October vacation

  • 4 of 5

I visit Waimanalo 4 times a year to spend time with my grandkids who live here. We have stayed at Easha's in the past and found it to be a perfect space for hanging out, hosting family dinners and enjoying the grandkids in addition to having such an array of beach toys at our disposal. The child's life jacket was a perfect fit for my 3 year old granddaughter who hopped on her little boogie board and bobbed in the ocean like a cork.

I took the tandem kayak out with my friend and we had a wonderful and adventurous experience in the wind and waves on our last day.

We are looking forward to coming back soon and would highly recommend it.

Simple but well maintained cottage close to the beach

  • 4 of 5

This cottage met our needs very well. We were three adults-- a couple and a single - so the layout worked fine for us. But 4 adults would have been crowded. The cottage is basic but provides almost everything we needed. We definitely appreciated the air conditioning since it was quite hot and humid (September). It might have been nice to have a TV, but to some extent we enjoyed being free of TV during this time. The coffee and grinder provided were great. It might have been nice if there were some board games in the cottage for evening entertainment. We walked to the beach every day but on a few days there were Portuguese men-of-war on the beach so we avoided spending time in the water on those days. We love Kenekes and Ono's for a quick meal you can walk to, and also the new Island Cafe for brunch. Easy to get into Kailua. We know Oahu well and love staying in Waimanalo.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

The facilities were excellent -- the garden was great for drinking coffee and gazing at the mountains, the barbecue was very good. Inside the cottage, the air conditioning worked!!! And with fans, the rooms were always comfortable - spite of very hot weather. The beach chairs are the Cadillac of beach chairs -- carried like a backpack. Monique, the Tahitian caretaker, superbly cleaned the cottage for our arrival. The Obamas like the beach -- they have purchased through a third party the Magnum PI property about a half-mile away on the same beach! We would be happy to return to the cottage!
