Seabrook Island is a place conducive to creative thinking and complete relaxation. After a visit to Seabrook, we come back home energized and refreshed…ready to embrace life’s demands! We hope individuals and couples visiting our villa will enjoy this same rejuvenating experience. We are also committed to investing in our marriage of forty plus years. We have seen the positive results in our relationship of scheduling romantic getaways and retreats. We are blessed to be able to strengthen marriages and families by facilitating quality time together.

Candy and Tom Beck purchased this villa in 2009

Why Candy and Tom Beck chose Charleston Area

The View!!! We discovered Seabrook Island in the 1998 and vacationed there for 10 years before deciding to purchase our own villa. We appreciated the unspoiled beauty and serenity of Seabrook. Although we considered staying in villas at Spinnaker, Creekwatch, Courtside, High Hammock and Atrium, we always returned to Pelican Watch. These villas truly have the best views on the island! Having decided we wanted to own at Pelican Watch, we toured every unit on the market. When we stepped inside 1304 It was this villa’s riveting panoramic view and comfortable surroundings that made the decision for us!

What makes this villa unique

The view! The sunsets! The proximity to the ocean!

The villa is so comfortable, and it's beachy decor was done perfectly! Its proximity to the beach was a dream come true! The "sunset show" is a must see! We can't wait to return!!

Nice getaway.

  • 5 of 5

The villa was as advertised. Pictures are accurate. View was excellent. Easy access to the boardwalk leading to the beach (a little more than the 10yd description). Bed and pull out couch were comfortable. Kitchen had necessary utensils. Wifi was ok. We didn't access the bikes. The owner noted that the tires may need air. If you plan to use the bikes it would be easier to take a pump.

We rented kayaks and paddled from the beach in front of the villa to Deveaux Bank. It's also a short walk on the beach to the Beach Club (mid to low tide).

Great vacation-can't wait to return!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this villa. The Atlantic Ocean views from the deck of the villa were spectacular! Every day when we had ate our meals on the deck we watched dolphins swimming and pelican's flying over and landing in the water to catch their dinner. It is nicely appointed, very clean, and close to the beach when we actually wanted to get some sand between our toes. The owners were also great to work with.

Not the experience we hoped for

  • 1 of 5

My husband booked this condo for my birthday knowing how much I love the ocean and ending the day with a view of the sunset. The first problem was the deer flies on the beach in front of the condo, this beach is not on the ocean it is on the river that apparently breeds these biting flies, making it impossible to relax. We then encountered another insect called "love bugs". I contacted the owner asking if they could suggest something to help with both insects. I was advised that they have the condo treated regularly and to try some insect repellent. We did purchase a candle for the deck and repellent for the beach, which didn't help with either. The deck was unusable due to the swarm of thousands of mating love bugs and the beach left us with whelps from being bitten by deer flies. I loved Seabrook Island and the beach located down the street from the condo (actually the ocean not the river). The wind there kept the love bugs away and there were no deer flies. I feel that as the homeowner, you should be aware that love bugs mate twice per year at your property and let unsuspecting renters know that they could encounter this problem so they can make an educated decision as to whether or not to rent your home. We even asked the owner for a discount due to these problems. The response was no, they are not responsible for the problem. I understand they can not control mother nature but find it hard to believe they were unaware that this happens on the coast. I sincerely hope this review will help people not to lose money on a vacation like we did. It saddens me that the owners would take money from people and not provide a full discloser regarding the insect problem that occurs every year!

Owner's Response: Keith and Pam, We are so sorry your stay was unpleasant due to the deer flies on the beach and the love bugs on the deck of the condo. We have rented our villa for 5 years and this is the first complaint we have ever had. When you contacted us the day after your scheduled departure I did declined your request for a refund. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for acts of nature outside the villa. When you threatened to take action against us we sought legal council and were told we were not under any obligation to provide a refund, especially since you chose to stay in the villa for the full schedule of your stay. We also absorbed the plumbing bill due to an un-flushable item down the toilet stool.

DON'T STAY HERE!

  • 1 of 5

I booked this property due to the location and the view that the owners touted. The pictures of the proprerty and accomodation look very appealing on the site. The problem is that the bugs or "love bugs" as they are called were so bad that we could not sit outside on the balcony or escape them even inisde the villa. There were litteraly thousands of them swarming all over the place. Many of these flying insects made their way inside the villa only to land on the furniture and the kitchen table which made dining a challenge to say the least. We informed the owners of the bug problem and the response we got is that the property had been "sprayed" for bugs. I don't think we were taken seriously as to how bad the bug problem was. We had to vacuum up the dead bug carcasses every day and some of the black flying bugs were crawling on our bed! I told the owner about my experience and they said they would have an "entomologist" try to figure out what kind of bug it was??? what? It does not matter what kind of bug it is really. What mattered was how these insidious insects were getting into the villa even though we had all doors and windows completly shut! I forwarded a video of the bugs and pictures of them to the owner. During a phone conversation they told me the bugs most likely entered when we came in and out of the sliding glass door. I would expect a few flying insects to make their way in, but we decided to keep the sliding door shut because it was so bad! Even with the balcony doors shut the bugs just kept on marching in. Our stay while in the villa was miserable due to the insect issue. My wife and I selected this place due to the view it potentially had. Our view was of thousands of dead bugs inside and outside. I hope I have helped somebody that would have considered renting here.

great beach spot for small family

  • 5 of 5

Visited property for Labor Day weekend. The unit is clean - super convenient access, close to beach. Owners were highly responsive during booking and up until visit. The Seabrook Island Club offers pool, restaurant and ocean access all within steps. Amenity cards get access to the resort (which is a few minutes from the property) - highly recommend. Great value for price. Will visit again.
