Served our needs and very relaxing after hiking AT
Rustic charm, perfect location to AT and parks!
Not well maintained or furnished would not rent again!!!!
nice and quite
Some amenities didn't work like jet stream tub and all the fire wood got we no cover for them but it was peaceful
Steven was a wonderful host; warm and welcoming without being overbearing. He had turned on the heat and made the cabin inviting before our arrival. The cabin is small and cozy, just right for a couple wanting to get away. It is not fancy but has everything that you would need. It was also spotless.
The downsides are: the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. You need to bring a lighter or matches if you want a fire.
The location is super convenient to many of the towns in the mountains and also convenient to hiking trails. There are two beautiful waterfalls nearby. One is two miles down the road where the cabins are located. It's a nice walk but it is also drivable. We also found good restaurants in Cleveland, Blue Ridge, and Blairsville. We look forward to visiting again.
Cozy, Cabin Retreat!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for my husband and I; we were happy we were able to bring our dog, Bella along as well.
It was a simple, but cozy cabin with beautiful views from the wrap around porch. The owner lives on site and was there to greet us when we arrived and when we left. Stephen, the owner was very nice and we felt welcomed.
The Internet was not strong, but we weren't there for the Internet anyway. The cabin is less than 5 minutes away from Vogel State Park, which has rental boats, fishing, etc.
Overall, we had a great time and will surely be back in the winter!
Thanks so much for your Business! Internet in the mountains is very spotty but working on a better company for all 7 cabins and the Lodge.
See you on the next trip!!!!
way over priced
We have rented from VRBO multiple times so we can compare to other rentals. We got there rather late the 1st night, it was cold & rainy. The 1st thing you might think a traveler would want is a warm shower ? Stephen, the owner, who lives on the property, had not turned on the hot water heater circuit breaker. Although, even if he had, the water pressure in the shower was so slow it was barely more than a drizzle. Remember, there is only 1 bathroom. There is a TV upstairs but the reception is very poor. Bring your own pillows , because the ones on the beds are paper thin. Don't even think of taking a bath, it would take over an hour to get water in the tub. There are NO amenities like a dishwasher or garbage disposal, no laundry facilities. There are no instructions on what to do with your trash, no outside trash cans or dumpsters to put your trash in when you leave. There is only a couch to sit on to watch TV downstairs, so not very comfortable. We would not recommend this place . The non-holiday price is way to much.
I had a feeling that this couple would be a interesting guest when they called from Atlanta 285 and was lost.....It took them 5 hours to make a 1.5 hour trip from from and many phone call as I waited to guide them in to the cabin. Upon arrival I welcomed them as they were not nice. I showed them the panel box next to the bathroom but I'm sorry I forgot to push the breaker but did not have much energy after missing dinner waiting for them and on the phone. I welcomed their pets as our neighbor cabin business does not allow pets.I printed directions for them to Cherokee Casino as requested and answered several questions during the stay.I'm not sure what they did to the extra tv that was added upstairs that was not advertised. They paid a New Year's holiday rate that was only a bit higher than our 20 year old cabin rates. We had a waiting list of 25 for that basic cabin with a great view of the National Forest mountains.I want to thank all of the other 6 cabin guest that were very nice and worked with me so I could pick up the trash to take off the property to keep us all safe from the Bears!! Most of the guests enjoyed 7-9 days in our great location with 360 degree views of mountains and only 1 mile to the Appalachian Trail, 2 miles down our driveway to beautiful Helton Creek waterfall, .8 mile to Vogel State Park-one of Georgia's most popular parks. I will check shower but last nice guest was in the property 14 days and wanted to come back for 40 days but was booked with waiting list. I was very, very kind to this guest and her pets and mailed her the tablet she left behind at no fee or postage that I was charged. We welcome all nice guests that want a basic cabin with the best location and very nice service!!!
