Villa Alberes is located in the beautiful village of St Genis des Fontaines, nestled at the foot of the ‘Massive Alberes’ in Southern France. The local amenities are only 5 minutes away and include a patisserie, bakery; wine caves, small supermarket and delightful town square where you can sit for a coffee or a glass of wine and watch the world goes by. Villa Alberes is situated in a quiet residential area. However, is in easy reach of beaches , mountains, towns and cities. A very comfortable, modern, well appointed Villa south facing with views towards the Alberes Mountains. The Villa has separate kitchen, utility and sitting/dining room with 4 large bedrooms, 2 shower rooms (one double bedroom is located downstairs with access to the sun terrace), sun terrace to the rear of the Villa and sun lounge to the front, garden and outdoor private pool (8 x 4m). It is ideally suited to those who wish to get away from it all, and excellent for families.

Lovely, spacious house. Well positioned for exploring this beautiful area.

The house was lovely: clean, spacious and comfortable. It was very well equipped: right down to the travel cot and high chair that made it much easier for our family. Although our holiday was early in the season which meant the pool was pretty cold we still enjoyed a swim on the hot days. Nico, the manager, responded quickly when we had a little glitch with the wifi and sorted it out efficiently. The house is in a quiet residential area but within easy walking distance of the town. The boulangerie is excellent. The church, with its cloisters is worth a visit. There are lots of great places to visit within a short distance of the house. We particularly enjoyed Collioure, Baynuls and St Cyprien - there are lots more that are good to visit. There are also plenty of places to go to taste some great wines.

We enjoyed our holiday there and would stay again.

Lovely house in a great location

The property is located about a 10 min easy walk from the centre of St Genis. It is in a nice residential area and facing South so is a real sun trap. The pool was a good size enabling all the family to enjoy a swim and sun loungers for everyone was a real bonus. The house was a real home from home. Air conditioning would have been ideal but fans were provided in every room. St Genis is a great little town with everything you need. Regular entertainment took place in the evenings in The Square which we thoroughly enjoyed. There are also tennis courts and a boules park. From St Genis we enjoyed many trips out including two visits to Spain and the lovely sandy beach at Roses, less than an hours drive away. Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing holiday and would love to come back again.

Beautiful home away from home

We loved the house and we loved the area. Soooo much to do and see around this part of France. Spain is also a stone's throw away and if you are a Dali fan, you are only about a 40min drive from his Theatre Museum and 1 hour from his home in Port Lligat (spain). Barcelona is about 90minutes away... many many day trip options.

The house had everything and it was truly a home away from home. The locals in the town shops were great, and very helpful, given my very very average French. The fruit market in the town's main carpark is a must do, and dinner / lunch at surrounding villages is a treat.

The coast is close, the mountains are close, the hosts very helpful. In summary a perfect spot in the south of France. We'll be visiting again.

Superbe location

Très belle maison spacieuse et très bien équipée. Elle est aussi bien située, avec de chouettes coins à visiter. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Petits (4 enfants) et grands (4 adultes) avons bien apprécié l'extérieur et la piscine.

Merci à nos hôtes Alison et Ian ainsi qu'à Tom pour son accueil et ses conseils "visites".

Propriété très bien entretenue et spacieuse

Les photos sont très fidèles à la réalité. Beaucoup de couchages et chambres spacieuses. Cuisine très bien achalandée. Fond de cuisine très apprécié. Beaucoup de jeux de société. Piscine très appréciée également. On se sent chez soi.
