This Kiahuna Plantation vacation home in Building 24 has everything that you need for a wonderful vacation. The beach is less than 100 yards away through a grassy beachside lawn. Pickup your complementary towels and beach chairs at the Beach Hut and, ”lickiety split,” you will be on the beach. You are invited to view the lawn pictures toward the beach and toward our building 24. The lanai has a small railing with a gate to the lawn. This is perfect for lawn access, and maybe the containment of a little one.
We call our condo SURFERS COVE. Our first floor corner unit one-bedroom unit is our own Kiahuna Plantation home. Each time we return, it delights us, as it does our guests. During our ownership, we have remodeled it (new kitchen, new shower, new bathroom); redecorated it (bright and colorful new fabrics on living room upholstery and dining room upholstery (2012); new carpets (2012); new king-sized bed (2010); new living room sofa bed (2012); new lanai furniture); supplied it for family fun and adventure (boogie boards, lawn chairs, beach umbrellas, games, music, books and paddle ball sets); equipped it for entertainment (flat screen television; CD player; DVD player; iPhone charger; high speed internet service; and created an open kitchen equipped for cooking and grilling (multiple kitchen gadgets and equipment not normally supplied to Kiahuna guests). There are ample closets, dressers and a locked safe.
The full kitchen has a glass top range, a mounted microwave over, a full size refrigerator with an icemaker and all the appliances that you would expect. The kitchen counters are granite and easy to maintain. The pass through to the dining area also has a granite top. We will provide you with a list of all the kitchen appliances and utensils. A set of dishes, glasses and dinner ware are furnished for a setting of 6. If you need additional settings for a party, just call Housekeeping for extra sets.
John Nabors is our Rental Manager for our condo. John and Winnie have 30 years of experience at Kiahuna Plantation and will host you as our guest. He can often arrange this condo as one of several condos for family gatherings or weddings. Kiahuna #158 owns a membership in the brand new Poipu Beach Athletic Club, located directly across Poipu Road from Kiahuna. The PBAC provides a large pool with a slide and an infant/toddler wading area; beach chairs, tables and umbrellas; a hot tub; tennis courts; a modern fitness room with excellent weight machines; a cardio room; a beach hut and bathrooms. Construction is still underway on a bar and grill located poolside; an all-purpose court for basketball, Pickleball and other court games, volleyball courts, and a yoga lanai. As a guest in our unit, you will be able to use these facilities, at no extra charge. John will send you photos of this club.

Our rates are the lowest available in each category through the Outrigger rent program. No deposit is required for our reservations and full payment is not due until your departure. These affordable rates make our beach homes the ideal selection for your vacation in Paradise. We will quickly provide you with quotations for your vacation selections.
The ground-floor location gives you easy access from your vacation home to the expansive and level lawn extending from your lanai. There are no steps in or out. No bumping the luggage up the steps; no hauling the groceries up flights of stairs! Easy, like a vacation should be!
A king sized mattress set is available in the living room. The sofa bed has a queen mattress. We can reserve you a queen sized Aero bed air mattress for your trip. This mattress provides a more consistent comfort for adults on the sofa bed. The master bedroom contains an ample closet and a dresser to empty your suitcases. A lockable safe is included, of course.
We provide free high-speed Internet, modern voicemail, a CD player, a living room HD TV to provide you the comfort and services that you expect in a resort. Wi-Fi service in our condo is included at no cost.
Generous lanai furniture provides you with the opportunity for outside dining and lounging. The large table will serve 4 to 6 people. The afternoon sun is just perfect on the lanai. The landscaping on the side of the lanai provides privacy, yet a view to the Twin Bridges area.
Outrigger’s 24-hour front desk and Concierge Desk provide the expected resort services. Outrigger has excellent security and a maintenance staff 24 hours a day to contribute to your trouble free vacation. The housekeeping staff is available upon request to give you privacy or comfort at your discretion.
The Beach Hut serves your beach needs with beach chairs and beach toys. The Beach Hut provides visitors to the expansive main lawn with lawn chairs, towels at no charge, and concierge services. Snorkel gear, drinks and snacks can be charged to your room. Huge swaying palm trees shade portions of the two+ acre lawn immediately adjacent to the famous Poipu Beach. The lawn is great place to read, watch children play lawn games and experience the spectacular sunsets.
USA Today has rated our beach one of the 10 best beaches in the world. The Poipu Beach area has the best beaches and sunniest portion of Kauai. Kiahuna Golf Course is just 2 blocks away. Restaurants and shops are a short walk across the street from the resort.
35 acres of awesome landscaping is yours to “drink in” every moment of your experience in Paradise. The world-class Moir Cactus Gardens cover over an acre next to the plantation manager’s home of the first sugar plantation in Hawaii. The cactus gardens were created by the wife of the original sugar plantation manager. Nearby, the pathways around the plantation home exhibit over 1,200 orchid plants and numerous Koy and water lily ponds. Ask us for pictures and details if you are interested.
Several of our favorite restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. The Plantation Gardens Restaurant is on-property and a first class place for one of your dinners. We will provide that information to you.

A deposit of one night’s room rate plus taxes is required at time of booking. If a reservation is cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival, a cancellation charge of 75 USD plus General Excise Tax will be retained with the balance refunded to guest. A reservation cancelled 30 days or less prior to arrival will be subject to full forfeiture of the one night room rate plus General Excise Tax with the balance refunded to guest. Major credit or debit cards are accepted for room deposits.
Holiday Prepayment and Cancellation Policy: Applies to dates of stay December 18 – 31. Full prepayment of room rate and taxes for a guest’s entire stay is required at time of booking. In the event of any cancellation the prepayment will be retained except that any Transient Accommodations Tax will be refunded to guest.
Reservations can be made through John Nabors to Kiahuna Plantation Resort Kauai by Outrigger for a deposit by a credit card with Outrigger for the reservation. Balance will then be due upon check-out, NOT upon arrival.
Reservations cannot be made through the "online booking" process. We offer very favorable terms of one night's deposit.

Tour information is provided by John and Winnie Nabors based on 30 years of experience at Kiahuna Plantation. They have experience multi-generational trips in multiple condos, friends in nearby condos, and family members including all ages of grandchildren. They have booked over 1,500 nights at Kiahuna Plantation in the past 12 months and utilize that experience to assist their new guests. Multiple handout are given to guests that describe rental cars, tours, bike rentals, restaurants, tour guides, and other facts asked by prior guests.
Expedia operates a desk in the Outrigger lobby and operates the Beach Hut. These agents can arrange any activity done on the island.
