About Donna and Charlie

Hi. We have been blessed to live in this beautiful rural area all our lives. During this time we have witnessed several wonderful changes to this area. Most of all you will find the scenery magic and this area to be a giant playland .

Donna and Charlie purchased this house in 2014

Why Donna and Charlie chose Northwest

This property has been in our family since around 1951. It was originally a creamery where the farmers would bring the cream from their cows to have it separated from the milk and then it would be used to process butter or cheese. I remember my mother making the best cottage cheese, unlike todays. The creamery was also their home. I removed the wall that separated the home from the creamery when I totally remodeled the property in 2014.

What makes this house unique

Downtown location. Outside fire pit. On site parking. Large locked storage unit for bikes or what ever needed.

Great visit. Excellent location and nice accommodations.

We had a great visit. I really enjoyed staying at the old creamery. It clean and had character that you find in a historical point of interest. I would recommend this property for any out door enthusiast. We brought our dirt bikes and rode from town to the OHV area north of Fruita. There is a shop to keep your bikes in and a fire pit for evening chats with friends while consuming refreshing beverages. There are a lot of attractions nearby and good places to eat. Also, if you want to cook, the store is a few steps away and you can easily prepare a meal in the well equipped kitchen.

Great location, plenty of space!

  • 5 of 5

Donna and Charlie were very kind and responsive, they made sure we found the property easily and addressed any concerns very quickly. This is a great location, just steps away from grocery, gas and downtown Fruita! We enjoyed a night around the fire pit in the back. There was a safe place to store out bikes during the evening. The home had plenty of space for our party of three, though the home is outdated, it is clean and well stocked. Thanks Donna and Charlie!

Love the house and great location!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed before and my return visit was just as good! I love the house and the location is exceptional! Tons of room to spread out and the backyard with fire pit is so relaxing. I also love that there is separate secure storage in the garage for bikes and sporting gear!

We will definitely stay again!

Great area for biking hiking etc. Easy to get to and great location. Had a plumbing problem, Donna jumped in and had it resolved in no time. When there is a problem and the owner really cares and fixes it, that is a big deal. Would stay again.

Almont, Colorado

Downtown Fruita

A great location to stage your next cycling, boating, . . . trip. This interesting VRBO converted from the family dairy has ample room to gather your group and set up / clean up after any adventure that brings you to theis region. There's plenty of outdoor space as well to set up gear; a garage for storage; a carport; and fire pit. Located one block off of the main street (Aspen) makes last minute trips for gear a breeze. Check out the Copper Club Brewery it's worth the visit.

Never judge a book by it's title!

Wow, what a surprise when we entered this commercial looking building. The inside is absolutely amazing. The house had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. We had everything at our fingertips in this quaint little town and we were only 5 minutes from the state park and 15 minutes from the Colorado National Monument Park.

We would recommend this rental to anybody.
