About Kevin and Doreen Sinnett
Doreen and I are both native Annapolitans, growing up sailing, fishing, and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, MD. Married for 37 years, Doreen graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. Doreen, while juggling the schedules of our three active daughters, completed a successful career as a Registered Nurse. I was a career Naval Aviator, piloting the P-3 Orion patrol aircraft. While serving at Naval Air Station Brunswick, ME, we fell in love with the beautiful Rangeley Lakes Region and in 1983 purchased an old camp on the west shore of Rangeley Lake in Oquossoc. In 2006, at the age of 50, we fulfilled our dream and retired to the lake. I am a Registered Maine Guide (hunting, fishing, recreational), the Vice President of the Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsman’s Association, and a Director on the Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society. We are active parishioners of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Parish, where Doreen volunteers as a Eucharistic Minister.

High End Hospitality!
Eagles Nest is one of those places that you don’t want to leave. Kevin and Doreen are very friendly and welcoming hosts. We are looking forward to returning in the future.
Lovely and very comfortable for the 2 or us
We were greeted warmly by Noreen, who provided us with a tour of the studio. It's really lovely and very comfortable, perfect for 2 people - and our old Lab. Kevin gave great information about fishing for salmon. Wi-Fi is very fast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Eagle's nest. Thank you!
Great time at Rangeley for autumn leaf peeping
The cottage is big, comfortable, quiet, and spotlessly clean. Be aware that the cottage is on the lake, but there is no view from the unit. You can enjoy the glorious view from Adirondack chairs in the back yard or from the boat dock. They also have kayaks for free use for guests. There are lots of hiking and sight-seeing opportunities nearby.
Kevin and Doreen are very kind and generous hosts and addressed all the details. Their recommendation for the 45th Parallel for dinner was a winner.
Although the unit is separate from the owners' residence we felt a little like we were invading their private space at the lake.
A beautiful experience
From the time we entered the Eagle's Nest to the time we said good-bye, our stay was seamless. This was our first trip to the Maine mountains, being Maine seacoast lovers for many years. Doreen and Kevin were superlative hosts. Doreen was able to tell us about the local areas of interest while Kevin, a Maine guide, shared his love for the Rangeley fauna and flora with an afternoon pontoon boat ride. Although this industrious couple manage a kayak rental company on site, at no point was our early morning sleep or evening quiet time interrupted. We heartily endorse this lovely rental apartment.
Clean & well constructed large rooms with large windows! Lovely Lake!
Very clean, nice comfortable beds, big double sink bathroom, shower, sadly no bathtub. Bath & rooms could use more hooks or more places to hang clothing. Good temperature controls. Kitchen was clean and basic, would be nice if it had a few more help cooking things like salad and/or cooking bowls, oil, basic seasonings and food storage containers, or ziplock bags. Room faces Rt. 17 so not such a pretty place to sit, however road is mostly quite and when inside hard to hear traffic. Could use some warmth in room decor. Nice owners, lovely lake.
I spent two nights with my boyfriend and my dog and I can not say enough wonderful things about eagles nest and Rangeley Maine. The lake was so peaceful and beautiful. We loved the bonfire and star gazing from the docks. Both Kevin and Doreen are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a relaxing get away.
