Perfect

When I was visiting the location for my brothers wedding in Traverse City last spring I started looking for a place to stay. To be honest when I found this listing I thought it too good to be true but reached out to Kate who responded quickly. The location and the home itself couldn't have been better. It fit my group easily and it was furnished with everything we needed.

If you find yourself in traverse city I highly recommend staying; Kate was great communicating with me and very helpful.

Luxury paradise with a side of trendy hipster

This is such a great place to discover Traverse City! The location gives you so many conveniences to shopping, dining, and pretty walks. We loved our time here. It's obvious that Kate and Dan have put lots of thought into their guests' stay and made the whole experience so easy.

We were traveling with two little ones, 2 1/2 and 10 months, and they were at home instantly. A perfect place for them to play and lots of toys, it was like Christmas for our 2 1/2 yr old every morning. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and I can imagine teenagers thinking this place is awesome too.

When we arrived the weather had just suddenly turned cold and we were not prepared. Kate literally gave us the coat off her son's back! And allowed us to borrow some clothes while we were there, above and beyond!! Just one more reason why VRBO is so much better than a hotel.

As far as adults go, the condo has super comfy beds and a gorgeous master bath. I loved cooking in the kitchen and found everything I needed. I can't say enough about how nice our time was at the Commons. Truly you won't want to leave!!

Stunning, spotless and historic condo close to everything in Traverse City!

  • 5 of 5

LOVED our stay at the Grand Traverse Commons!! The condo was even more unbelievably gorgeous than the pictures and Kate was just wonderful to work with. The building's history is so interesting too! Everything was extremely clean and furnished beautifully. It was the weekend of our destination wedding and she even left us an adorable little "bridal survival kit"! Due to the chaos of the big day we missed our checkout time and she stayed with all of our belongings until we could get back to the condo which was so above and beyond anywhere else we could have rented. She also offered to return our deposit early so we can pay for our smaller reception back at home! I'd recommend this property to anyone looking for a breath taking place to stay close to the city with excellent customer service and care. Thanks again Kate!

awesome condo . . . awesome location . . . historical piece of history

  • 5 of 5

met Kate in a fluke encounter when we pulled into the property parking area and asked a stranger a question for directions and it was Kate . . . she's a very nice lady, very genuine, and helpful, etc.

first time my family has been to Traverse City and if we ever need to go back again it's a no brainer that we want to stay at Kate's condo again . . . it's got all the appliances , T.V.'s, etc.

We've travelled a lot . . . stayed in a lot of high end places . . . the Grand Traverse Commons is truly a unique location

Fun with friends!

  • 4 of 5

This was our second time staying at Grand Traverse Commons and loved it. Really a very beautiful condo, the pictures are a true representation of what to expect. The owner is very helpful and responded to any request right away. The condo had everything that you need to have an enjoyable stay. I only disagree with one statement, the sleep sofa on the main level is not something I would want to do again for 4 nights. I have no doubt that it was a very high end mattress but it still was not very comfortable. I would come back and stay here again just would assure that I took one of the upstairs bedrooms.

Owner's Response: Thanks for coming to stay at your condo and glad you enjoyed our home. Thanks for including your opinion on the sofa bed. It is helpful for future guests to have unbiased reviews and realistic expectations about how comfortable they will be. Everyone has different sleeping preferences, so we appreciate you sharing yours! If you draw the master bedroom straw next time and want to come back, we'll be happy to have you:) Thank for taking the time to leave a review!

Amazing architecture

  • 5 of 5

It was our first time in Traverse City amd we enjoyed both the city and the condo. There's alot of interesting history. The condo was uniquely laid out with a huge kitchen for cooking and plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 small children. The condo was kid friendly and even had toys for them to play with. The condo felt very much like a home. We loved having the shops on the ground floor.
