Why Kathy Wheeler chose Florida Main North West

This home was designed and just built with you, the vacation renter in mind. Located between exciting Pensacola Beach and the more laid back Navarre Beach. Join beach-goers close to the fishing pier, restaurants and bars, or choose a more private beach spot. There are miles and miles of uncrowded, pristine beach.

What makes this house unique

If you want to get away from it all and find some peace and serenity this is the place. Perfect for weddings, family gatherings & church retreats. Our home is adjacent to the Gulf Island National Seashore that is an undeveloped beach, but watch out for the sea turtles and the nesting birds. We are situated on a canal with inter coastal waterway views and walking distance to the Gulf of Mexico.

Amazing vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay in the Margarita villa. The home was very comfortable, beddings and furnishings were very accommodating and kitchen was pretty well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc... Grocery was close and we were able to cook big family dinners nightly. The views of the bay and Gulf are all around the house with window views and multiple decks leading to a very relaxed feel. The beach was only a 5min walk away and the house included beach chairs, canopy and other amenities. We wanted for not and had a simply amazing vacation in Navarre!

Beautiful home and great location!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the beach at the Margarita Villa! The house was beautiful and clean. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The owner was absolutely amazing to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We have no complaints and will definitely book here again in the future!

Very nice!

  • 4 of 5

This house is very nice. We rented through VRBO, but the local contact is Resort Quest. They were fabulous!! We had some initial problems with the internet, bicycles and grill, but they were taken care of immediately. Very, very nice people!!

We had 10 people in our party. Two early sixties, six mid-twenties, and two under five. The stairs are pretty daunting. They are VERY steep. We had to use various items in the house to provide safety for the children. If you plan to take children, plan to take or buy child gates.

The bedrooms are set up like this: There are two bedrooms on the main floor (which is up the initial flight of stairs leading from the driveway or basement). They each have king beds. The master has a fabulous bath! The other bedroom has a small bath. There are three bedrooms on the second floor. Two have balconies. The one facing the Gulf has a queen bed and a small en suite bath. The one facing the bay has a king bed and uses the hall bathroom. The futon is in this bedroom. The middle bedroom contains a bunk bed with a full/twin and two day-beds with drawers. This room also uses the hall bath. All of the king and queen beds are memory foam and they are VERY comfortable. The linens are not as described or pictured (not quite as nice).

The washer/dryer work great. The dishwasher has to be the most irritating piece of machinery I have ever operated. I finally posted a sign on it so people would not stop it mid-cycle (it would not restart). The televisions were great. Better channels downstairs than upstairs. Upstairs TV's only receive 13 channels (mostly religion). The air conditioner really struggles to keep the house cool during the day because there are no window treatments on any of the windows. Some kind of curtains on the west facing windows would probably benefit greatly. I would have loved some kind of electric broom to keep the sand under control. We had to search for a broom and dustpan... finally found them down in the basement.

We used the entire house. Basement was great for night time activities for foosball players, ping pong and beer pong games. The basement was also great for coming back from the beach and being able to keep everything down there until the next day.

Ocean and bay views are great. Loved walking/cycling to the gulf. We had no issues with fishermen in the canal. In fact, we found hermit crabs that were great fun!

The Margaritavilla

  • 5 of 5

AEA week family vacation. We were very pleased with the house and it's location. Yes, it was a block from the Gulf itself, but from every window in the house, you could get a view of water. We had different ages...husband and myself in our late 60's, 3 children & there spouses in there 30's and 40's, and 7 grandchildren ranges from 21 to 11 months. Due to the short time from deciding to make this family week till time to go didn't leave enough time for ALL to be there for the entire time, but except for last night, we had at least 1 or 2 of our children's families. The teenagers as well as young adults enjoyed having the various items available...bicycles, cayaks as well as able to fish...the full basement allowed for the older ones to go & play games without the little ones getting in the way. Yes, there are a lot of stairs but mainly you could just stay on the main level. Looking forward to next year's FAMILY week.

The Margaritavilla

We stayed in the house for 4 days, and while the house is accurately detailed and the view is okay even though it does set back away from the gulf a block or so, this house has some serious drawbacks for certain age groups. We had about as diverse family as you can get - one family with little kids, one with teenagers, one with no kids, and then grand-parents. This house has a lot of stairs that one has to use, so if you are older or have any health issues, I would not recommend the house. If you have small children, I would not recommend the house. Again, lots of stairs, lots of "glass-to-break" everywhere: windows, doors, vases, etc. While the doors have deadbolts, there are no latches higher-up for kid safety - the kids can go out to the balconies, or down the stairs without you knowing - our 3 and 5 year old opened the deadbolts very easily. The house sets on a canal, so early every morning you have people walking behind your property throwing nets to catch fish, etc. So don't expect any privacy - there are no "Private Property" signs posted. If you like to fish with a pole, you can't even use the property you are paying for because the 'net throwers' are catching all the fish before you even get a chance - they come early and drive loud pickup trucks. Again, there's a lot that should be done to improve the safety of the house for children. This house is setup for young adults & teenagers. And it is a good fit for those individuals. If you are a diverse group that is coming and going through-out the day with lots of to-do activities like us, I would say a hotel/motel/condo would be more accessible and less expensive. We did family cooking so we enjoyed the convenience of the kitchen and eating area of this house. If cooking is low on your priority list, I would not pay for something you are not going to use. If the beach is your thing, then it is within easy walking distance. To get to the Naval Air Museum and finer restaurant dining you'll need to expect some vehicular travel time.

Family vacation . Very enjoyable!! We were the first guest in this home

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house with gorgeous views. Ocean views from every direction. Short walk to beach, had to cross road but was not a problem. We had 17 in our group, plenty of room and adequate sleeping arrangements. Owners went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Nice breeze on decks and on bottom garage area. Kids loved the bikes. Would not be good for disabled , lots of stairs. My husband has 2 artificial knees and he did fine but not wheel chair accessible.
