Superb Romantic Getaway, great for EVERY occasion

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent an entire week in this cabin for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The cabin was peaceful, but close enough for us to get out and explore. We enjoyed going on walking trails and taking in the beautiful Wisconsin outdoors. We took a tour of the White Winter Winery and tried out some of their excellent mead. Although we enjoyed the convenience of cooking most of our meals in the large kitchen, we did order a pizza one night. The Pizza Parlor pizza was very good and their menu had a nice selection. Having local menus in the cabin is an excellent idea of letting us know what was around. At this stay we did not go fishing, but we were told for next time there are many areas nearby to enjoy it. We loved our experience at this fun Rooster themed cabin and plan on making a trip at least once a year from now on. The cabin is excellently priced and it seems there is always something going on nearby to see or do.

The cabin was exactly as described. No surprises to be had here!

I have stayed at this cabin on two different occasions. First time was on a 5 day hunting trip and it was a great place to wind down after a long day outside. Beds were comfortable, hot shower and satellite tv. Close to plenty of public hunting land and good fishing lakes. Second time I stayed was on a snowmobile trip and it was also a great stay. It was close to the trail system and had plenty of parking for the trucks and trailers. The cabin was a great place to come back to at night to relax and play a game of cards. The owner stays in a adjacent cabin and on both stays he has been there and is a wealth of knowledge to the area. Will definitely be staying here again!

Great property, owners and location

  • 5 of 5

Bryan was a kind and helpful host. The cabin was nicely decorated, warm and the beds were comfortable. This location made a great "home base" for our weekend at the Bayfield Apple Festival. Highly recommend dinner at "The Spot" which is within walking distance. Their Oktoberfest menu was AMAZING!

Great home base. All the comforts of home.

We were there 3 days in July 2016 to be tourists in the Lakeshore area and take in the vast shoreline of Lake Superior and see family in nearby Brule. The Cabin was on a thoroughfare, busy county road but peaceful nonetheless. One evening we saw deer and a raccoon from the kitchen table out the front door. Would recommend to friends and family who wish to head north. We were there for Blueberry Festival, quite busy, we left the first day of festival so missed the crowd. The Winery was neat, we got some to take home! Apostle island tour was great, beauty day. Kaye C.

Comfortable and cozy

  • 5 of 5

My family including 2 small children stayed for 3 nights mostly to explore the Bayfield/Washburn/Ashland areas.

It was a bit of a drive from Iron River to Bayfield but that was ok for us. The cabin was clean, furnished nicely, new carpet, nice cabin kitchen, shower was nice. A washer/dryer was great. Our kids watched DVD's and Netflix. Master bed was super comfy. We didn't do anything outside of the cabin although there was a nice fire pit and grill. We would stay there again for sure.
