About Stacia Renbarger
Stacia Renbarger and her husband, Troy, purchased this lovely lake house as their first home. They fell in love with the large lot, lake frontage and beautiful sunset views. The size was perfect for the two of them starting out in their marriage. As their family and business grew, they outgrew this cozy home. Brett Morrow owned the very successful Crop-a-doodle-do bed and breakfast and recently sold it. Brett & Stacia now own Lake House Living and are excited to take this vacation rental to the next level Our neighbors like to call our area the cottage district. We hope you will enjoy what this casual & cozy lake home has to offer.
Stacia Renbarger purchased this House in 2003

This was a perfect mini vacations. Loved it.
It is a quite beautiful place. They had everything that you might need.
Outstanding view! Relaxing, well equipped kitchen, great large deck to enjoy
We had a family outing (7 1/2 for some laughs) with our 5 adult kids + 1/2 and dogs on Mother’s Day weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time hanging out with such a beautiful view of the lake. My husband bought 2 inflatable rafts that we had fun boating around in plus our son in law convinced us all to get in the water even though the water was a bit cold. After spending time in the lake we enjoyed the hot tub with a view of the lake!
The house had plenty of room for us and was well supplied for our needs. We cooked lots of great meals in the kitchen and used the grill twice!
It was a wonderful time and we’ll rent the house again if there is a chance!
Can’t wait to come back in warmer weather!
The pictures don’t do the view or decks justice! What a perfect getaway spot. Stacia checked in to ensure we had everything we needed for a cozy staff retreat. Thank you for your hospitality!
Spent 36 hours at the home. Initial slow responses from owner. Was told we could check in early, and at the last minute was told we could not. Kitchen was nice, had all supplies needed. The basement was musty and very cold, which is where the majority of the beds are. There was an additional room we planned to use, pictured with large table and chairs, but the entire carpet was drenched and water running down the walls. The grill also did not work, and notified the owner and was told it did not work because I checked in 2 hours early. We spent our weekend squeezed around the upstairs fireplace, but given the time of year had to spend the majority of time inside, so unable to comment on outside use, other than grill.
We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your stay. We understood you booked this home after a death of a family member in your mens group caused you to make a last minute venue change. When booking your 19 hour stay, you asked for an early check in and late check out but did not specify those exact times until 8pm the night before. Our check in time is 4pm and you actually checked in 7 hours early, not 2. When you were notified that you could check in at 11am (5 hour early check in), you responded that you needed in at 9am (7 hour early check in). The owners made that possible for you by coming over and getting the house ready for your mens group by 9am. There was a very large storm that Saturday with very heavy rain, and unfortunately our cottage and several others had issues from that storm. We have taken measures to make sure that doesn't happen again. Your group actually spent well over 36 hours in our home, having paid for only a 19 hour stay. We try to be as flexible as possible with our guests and their requests, and feel we went above and beyond to accommodate your group when your other venue fell through.
What a wonderful place to spend a weekend with my friends! The house was beautifully decorated and laid out in a very convenient way for some of us to sleep while others sat up late talking. Everything we needed to cook with was available and there was plenty of dishes and silverware to go around. That is not my usual experience when renting personal homes. The owners were super to work with and were responsive to our questions and needs. You will love the two decks overlooking the water and all of the sitting and entertainment space that has been provided.
Everything was wonderful and we'll be back again.
