This house was great! We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck next to the creek. Beds were comfy. This was the perfect place for a relaxing stay.
Had another relaxing and peaceful stay at this wonderful little house sitting on Cottonwood Creek. It has a great layout for two couples and is very nicely furnished. The kitchen and both baths are upgraded with modern fixtures and appliances. The king bed in the master and queen bed in the second bedroom are comfortable. The deck overlooking the creek is a lovely spot for lunch and dinner or watching deer wander by. Reading in the comfy chairs and couch in the living room with the door open while listening to the creek was our favorite memory.
This property is about as good as it gets for four people. Two bedrooms and two baths but on opposite ends of the house with the living area in-between. Excellent kitchen, fully outfitted, wi-fi and much more. Management of this property is excellent as is their level of communication. We will be back.
This cottage was the perfect setting for a 3-day, end-of-summer-break get-away for my husband and I and my sister and her husband! The inside was clean and like-new, with very tasteful decor and lots of natural light. The back deck right on Cottonwood Creek doubles the value! We took every opportunity to sit out on it to enjoy the sunshine, the birds, the flowers and the sound of the creek with the view of the mountains to the west. We had the added benefit of arriving on the last day of the Vertex Music Festival and were able to enjoy the music out on the deck that afternoon/evening.The master bedroom windows are on the creek side of the house so the sound of the creek can be enjoyed at night, too! The house is within walking/biking distance of downtown and the Cottonwood Creek bike trail, and only about 15 minutes from Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, all of which we took advantage of. Lisa was very responsive and accommodating and encouraged us to keep our bikes in the storage shed which we appreciated being able to do. We will be back!!
As I was planning that once in a “lifetime” trip for me and my grandson (ages 74 and 17), I looked at a lot of properties in the Buena Vista/ Salida area and I finally decided to book the Alpine Vista Creekside Cottage from Lisa Webb. I don’t think I could have made a better choice. The outside of the cottage is not that impressive, but the inside is first class. The first thing I noticed was how clean and orderly everything is, and how much room it has. The kitchen is modern and well stocked with dishes and utensils as are the bathrooms. The master bedroom has a good comfortable king bed, plenty of closet space, and a modern bath with copper sinks. The patio has a great view of the mountains and what a place to have morning coffee. The creek and the view from the patio are better than the pictures and the cottage is very convenient to downtown. Lisa Webb, property manager, is most interested in you getting the most out of your Buena Vista visit. If you’re looking for two bedrooms and two baths, clean and well furnished, and convenient to downtown, you will find it difficult to locate a better property for the money. If I could return next year, I would not look at any other property…and I’m analytical. Oh yes, if you plan to trout fish the Arkansas, ask for Jera at ArkAnglers...a guide that knows where to find them. Our visit was all that one could hope for.
We loved out stay in this comfortable, roomy cottage, to the degree that we tried to extend by a day (alas, plans with other travelers in Denver made that impossible). Since other reviewers have described the cottage well, I'll add a few details that we really appreciated. One is the large walk-in shower in the main bathroom. Another is the airy, comfortable living room -- there was more than enough seating for everyone, something that's missing in so many rentals. Another thoughtful feature is the comfortable chairs in both bedrooms, and lots of lamps and lighting everywhere; that let me escape the TV late in the day, and curl up with a book. Our adult son, who was visiting with us, said, "If I ever win the lottery, the first thing I'll do is try to buy this house!"
